I downloaded the application and was all for giving it a try, until I found out that you need a passport just to apply. I don't have one and I can't afford to drop $97 on a passport I might never use again. Especially since this is just the first round when they are taking a zillion applications to narrow down to 400. I would be more positive about it if there wasn't so few paychecks before Christmas.

My main pyshical qualifications are that the guy is taller than me ( I am also in the 5'3" club), and doesn't weigh less than me. I love a guy that makes me laugh! My boyfriend makes me laugh all the time. Having an infectious smile helps too A nother big issue is that he doesn't make me feel stupid for being me. It's hard to find a guy who is ok with me dressing up like a pirate and playing D&D.

Oh the clerk told me all about it while she loudly asked her coworker for bandaids. She cut herself on the hand while opening a container of hotdogs (ugh, i hope she didn't bleed in the hotdogs).

That would freak me out too Hester!! I'm grossed out right now. I picked up some snacks at the local corner market and the clerk bleed all over my bag. YUCK!!!!!

The Little Mermaid III? I was watching my new Little Mermaid dvd set and discovered they are making a new one. Straight to home video release. I have mixed feelings about this. I LOVE the original, but the 2nd one just didn't do it for me. But to be fair, I think that I love the original so much that there is no way a sequel would live up to the original. I like that my favorite Disney character is getting another movie, but I worry that the story won't live up to the first one.

There was a pretty decient costume pirate shirt at the local Super Walmart. It was cream colored with no ruffles. I believe it was under $30. I think something like it would be a little more "manly" than the lacey red top. You could always ad a red sash for some color.

After working my butt off, I got a raise at the end of August and was told it would show up in my September 29th paycheck. My raise paperwork was sent to the parent company with raise forms for two other employees. My raise didn't come on the 29th, so I complained to my boss and the parent company. Turns out they lost two out of the three raise forms they recieved (the forms were all in the same packet). The woman in payroll assured my boss that the raises would be in the next paycheck (the 13th) with retropay for the money lost from the raise not being applied to the 29th. So two new raise forms were sent out. So I just recieved my paystub for tomorrow's paycheck today. No raise. No retropay. Worst of all we aren't supposed to be given the paystubs until tomorrow. So I can't even call payroll or my boss to complain. I think I'm going to go postal.

There are two issues of Nor'easter coming out between now and the date of the invasion. The first of the two isn't going to the press until next Friday (and it's the biggest issue of the year because of the US Powerboat Show, good one to be in!) If you can send me a press release or just a brief description with dates and times I can get the event listed in both issues.

Alas I've never been to the Celtic Fling. I think I saw you during the weapons demo around 2:30 on Saturday but you looked pretty busy. I saw Gute Morgan (who I've met twice before ). I finally met Black John, I've been promising to go to one of his events forever and I finally got to see a weapons demo. Very cool. With him I met Jim Hawkins. I got to met Capt. Sterling outside of the human chess match. All and all it was a good day to met people. I'm pretty sure that I saw William Red Wake and Crimson Corsair, but I wasn't sure. Tis' a shame that I missed so many fellow pub go'ers though! I came with a group of eight other people so I was following the group. I would have liked to have seen Mad Woman Cheryl and Constance Sealegs again!
