I did pull rhumba rue away from the shade fer a wee bit and was at the back at the last trail. my freind pep is blonde and I have long blonde hair as well. had a black cap on and a white and grey hawaiin shirt on. looks like I'll be up at the ren faire by gilroy this weekend and then Ojai. I definitly am looking forward ta meeting every one then.

aye we were sitting at tizzy's tavern ( where it be happy hour four ta eight) LOL that was good. oh that was my freind pep. she's a d.j. in Hermosa Beach and has never been past long beach in the six years she's lived here. I am a confermed bachalor and don't plan on getting caught any time soon. honest mistake though.

I take it ya made it in time ta sail then. was it my imagination or were there a few pistols and rifles going off on the sail sunday? from the top it looked quite a mess on the water what with all the wee power boats and that one ketch getting in the way all the time.

a white n' grey hawaiin shirt (unbuttoned) grey shorts and a black hat with red LH on it. talked to boats and rhumbarue fer a wee bit. I was also at the trail at 3.30 standing and sitting in the back. I also talked to one of the "judges" fer quite a spell about sailing and his time on the lady washington. dang if'n I didn't ferget his name already. the only judge without a wig on. the cannon battle me n me freind were sittng on top of the cliff by the houses. great view but we had to go thu a fence ta get there.

wow that was fun !!! nice to put a face with the names. the cannon battles where great but boy do they need better cannoneers. five ta ten minutes between shots. it was to funny watching all the little boats dang near get run over. and a dang fishing boat stopped right in the middle as the tall ships were circleing around . two or three times I saw the tall ships throw it in reverse to be able to turn without a colision. I am impressed with how well the captains were able to manuvere and swing those monsters around. all and all a fun day.

well done. well done ye be have'n a fine blade there. 'n even better it has yer own blood 'n sweat in it.

sorry ta take so long responding to this. check out ussailing.com they are one of the main governing bodys and very well respected thru-out the u.s. and even overseas. I was out on a 5.2 just last week. very VERY fast boats. there are many sail training places around just make sure they are either coastie approved or ussa approved. once you go thru an approved training schedule you can rent a bareboat dang near anywhere in the world. marina sailing is pretty big here in Ca. if your a member you get major discounts on boat rentals and they will even supply you with a captn. if you don't feel like doing anything . as far as buying a sailboat...........depends. how often are ya going to be going out? how many people ? that nacra is a hell of a lot of fun. but it's pretty much two people and your going to get wet. and you can scare hell out of yourself if your not quick with the sheets. if your just wanting to get out on the water and maybe spend a weekend on it . I would go with about a 22 - 24 foot trailerable boat. it'll take an hour or more to rig it and the same to break it down but you won't be paying a slip fee or haveing to clean the bottom. if'n your thinking of a lifestyle change and want to live on a boat, don't get anything smaller than 35'. there are a lot of variables. start pokeing around at the local waters and have someone take you out for a ride and see if it's still what you want before you jump in with both feet. i know a guy who spent close to 100K on a sailbot and took it out three times and got seasick and hasn't taken it out in dang near two years. but he's still paying slip fees and someone to keep it in working order even if he will never go out again. sorry that got a lot long winded.

well love , they come in on friday n' don't leave till sunday night. stop in . it is an awsome site ta see the 'johnsons'' under full sail. I watched some other ships do cannon battles from shore in longbeach last year at this event and it was really cool. there is a pretty large south swell running ( well it was over the weekend) so they might be bounceing about a wee bit. still impresive to see.

aye I'll be there. doubt I'll be in costume but I can only stay for ashort while on saturday. got to be back in redondo by five. sunday I plan ta spend the day.

you've no maner of luck at all freind........ sorry had to be done. check margaritaville .com under 'jimmy' and you can see all the tour dates. two in vegas but when the tickets were released the cheep seats were $110.00. I think they have dropped them by now. vegas would be fun but no tailgate party which is where all the fun happens anyway.

a shame ya won't be there. I will take a few pictures and post them when I can. don't supose yer going to the buffet concert at coors amphitheater ? it's weds oct. 20th. I will be in the parking lot partying but I don't plan on buying tickets. I somehow always end up getting them at the show for face value or less.

welcome ta the bar lass aye a single life is fun . few disadvantages , but some great benifits as well. after saturday night I'm not sure which is going to kill me first. the single women or the doubles of rum. that's the great part of being single ..... time to spend doing projects that would be put off if'n ya had a steady relationship going. but i digress. I love being single and I know it's not for everyone.

aaaahhh that's my problem. I usually log off and grab a cab to hermosa. and spend the night pub crawling and then walk along the beach and pass out in the boat. well........ most times I make it that far. speaking of which.
