arrrrrgh!!! curse me for a bilge rat. Ijust arrived back this morn. an dang if'n I fergot ta check here afoer I shoved off. this year was the biggest yet!!!! I ended up going with me mate Joe on a 20' skip jack. no people on board ta get insulant. we arrived on friday round about one. took a pass thru ta see about are anchorage n dang if it didn't have mooring balls there. we ended up on the last available string tie. which was very close. as we were pay'n fer it three more boats pulled up n were turned away. other than one fatality (random twist of fate) it was a unreal weekend. saw more.....ummm mabe ya had ta be there. Hats off ta J. the bar tender. he worked from 10a to 3a n was back at work at 7 ta work another looong shift.

AYE n I'll be there. looks like ol mexico is on hold fer a wee bit longer. now I just ave ta figur out how ta captn. three diffrent boats at the same time. aw well . you'll not miss my colors as they be unique in those waters.

that's the name of Bob Bitchins boat ( the editor of lattitudes and attitudes) I'll name mine escape pod. cause that's what she'll be... my escape from everything.

it was nice ta see the pilgrim out at two harbors this labor day weekend. great to see she still makes it out for longer runs.

I'll be there but not in costume.( I don't think). I've heard iron bess will, I met rumba rue there a few years back so who else?

I just put up three of the pictures on myspace page if anyone is interested. I want to do some croping n' fix'n before post the rest. I did zoom in on one of the images and you can see jack sparrow looking guy and barbossa looking fellow. I've been have'n problems putting images up on this site however.

hell I don't charge fifty bucks !!! I just charge a big bottle of captain morgans Rum. I was bummed when I got a message from sandy that they filmed a scene last night with the pearl on fire and there was long boats with smoke machines comming ashore near rat beach.

that's were I'm heading in a little bit. I was going to sail out there but I saw coasties and local P.D are cruising around with their non historically correct boats keeping every one back. I might wait until there done filming for the day and then sail with them on the way back in. you can see it great from the end of Pales verde's as they are shooting. thanks bess. I didn't know how long they were going to be there.

was out do'n me local beer can race last night when a BIG R.I.B goes flying by wit what looked like jack sparrow aboard. I look out on the horizon n' there be a tall ship on the horizon. at the end of the race low and behold here comes the black pearl under full .................motor. don't know how long she'll be here but she is a site to behold. I'll try n' get a few photo's up soon of her. and the crew if I can. their set up in front of captn kidds. :)

I would love to go but I've already raiding Two harbors in catalina that weekend. two fast attack boats and four sailing ships. drop me a line on myspace if any socal pirates are going to be in the area.

loved Tails of the golden monkey. hell I even named our dog after his dog. all though are dog had both his eyes and was much bigger. did teach him to bark once for no and twice for yes. I've wanted an old flying boat ever since. :)

I had the same stuff on a blade my freind gave me. it is pine sap. I just used rubbing alcohol and it came off fine. goof off works great to. be REAL careful putting the blade back in the scabbard. the seam on the scabbard is not done very well and I but the blade right thru it and int my palm. It took forever to heal.

I'll sign on with this adventure!!! here's to reviving the holiday and haveing another excuse to drink rum and and party like ........well, like us!!

hi ya RumbaRue, yea it's good ta be back on the cyberseas. well I guess if ya spend that many dabloons on looking good ya want ta show em off. but save it for the parking lot before the concert. thus my plan to go for the party. probably won't even go to the actual show. out of the five shows i've seen I've only bought tickets once. and those were from one of his managers.

my favorites are the ice luge shots with margarittas and live goldfish, and the 11 bar stool bar, thats fully stocked,with a palm frond roof and flat screens playing buffet videos. thats on wheels going thru the parking lot. oh and the gas powered barstool. towing a gas powered blender.

anybody going to the buffet concert at Irvine meadows on the 20th or 22nd ? I know I'll be there with me lil brother and a few other people. planning on sailin' in around noon or so. the concert starts at eight .....but who goes for the concert.

I always tell myself " cheer up, things could be worse............... sure enough things get worse"

gotta love the south bay! upper 60's 10 knots of wind and a glorious sunset on the water. that water will still put a chill in your bones though.
