  1. It's anywhere BUT in the heart of the city. In fact you can't even see the city from there. :) It's a very open flat park area with lots of wind, next to the ferry launch and marina. Easily accesible to chairs and such as well!
  2. Probably because it would not be too exciting for the majority of the audience. It's bad enough watching survivors trying to start fires. Might be fun to participate in but probably not such great tv. Also Survivor is one of the most successful shows ever. They don't like to mess with success. At least it's the same producers and not a total cheap rip off. With any luck they will come up with unique tests and not the same puzzle s and obsacle courses
  3. HEHEHE! No kidding. The online game has JUST a little trouble eh? I've worked in the game industry for 12 years and have shipped 6 major titles. We've always turned games around in about a year and a half. This one has been pushed back a few times I think and it's STILL having issues. I REALLY want it to be a good one. Has anyone played the free downloadable "Desktop Galleon"? It's a lot of fun if you have a decent machine and graphics card. Now it THAT game had a little more to it and you could play with others online....
  4. Had to miss this one. The Pirates of Harbor Bay were booked at KABOOM! the huge firework/concert event up in S.F. on the water by the Bay Bridge. We did meet and greet and our stage show. MAN was it crowded. There are tens of thousands in attendance and they ALL seemed to want to pose for pictures. We hope everyone had a grand time in Ojai!!! and saved some rum for us in Sept. We will only be there the second weekend, but are hoping to be doing several stage shows as well as the entertainment in our encampment that we are getting a reputation for.
  5. Aye a festive time it was!! With only 6 of our crew able to attend, we still managed to put up a nice little encampement. We had our "VooDoo Lounge " (Capn' Jack's VooDOo Shack when we are vending) filled with pillows and incense and directly outside one of our "Harbor Bay Photo Spottes. This was the cannibal throne against our large tresure map backdrop, surrounded by skulls on skewers and a mound ' skullz. Patrons could sit on the throne and wear the necklace of toes and crown and hold the ceptor for photo ops. We had another with our wheel, mast and figure head. Our centerpiece was our common area which consited of our fire, table and "bar' (which were made from parts salvaged from parts of our ship a terrible shipwreck). We fired flintlocks behind our encampement much of the day and in between had a combination of swordplay and whip work.
  6. Bump! The Pirates of Harbor Bay will be there as well... definately stop by. We'll be the Caribbean pirates caught smack dab in the middle of the feuding English and Irish.
  7. I believe it mentions that on the official website after you click through several layers
  8. Wow! I think this is just great Bess! Can't wait to see it on ya!
  9. In Vallejo, CA On the water and accessible by ferry from S.F. Should be an absolute blast as this area has been starving for this type of event. I'll be performing main stage and children's stage shows with the Pirates of Harbor Bay. As well as an encampment and booth. The Sea Dogs (amazing musicians) will be providing much entertainment Skip Henderson and the Starboard Watch and many others Vendors galore More info: http://www.norcalpiratefestival.com/
  10. The absolute best place to get the trailer and the extra clip is from movies. yahoo I just downloaded it in 1080p hi-def! Talk about detail!!!! But yeah the viral players are quite fun
  11. (Waving hand above her head...) Oo! Ooo!! I know!!! I know!!!! Oh wait..... never mind. Can't say. Yet. HEHEHE! I know too. But not sayin' I've also learn some other REALLY juicy things. Oh man I can't wait.
  12. What ARRRRRE ya doin'? No, what ARRRRRRRRRRRRRE ya doin'? Bwahahahaha This film will be great And man is Marty a really great guy. It was great meeting him at the event last night.
  13. Looks like the Mouse is pulling out all the stops for this one. They've created quite a bit of hoopla just waiting to show the trailer for so long. Many rumors were going around that maybe the film had been delayed. I think it was a smarter move than airing it during the Superbowl like last year. And now with the Ultimate Fan event contest it should create a bit of hub-bub. I believe we will have somewhere around 50 pirates in gear at the event on top of us that are performing. Disney even approved having "Capt'n Jack Spareribs" perform.
  14. As a former crew member... It is incredibly difficult to imagine our fine ship lying under water. And the amount of damage and loss that has most probably occured. I'm hoping that things like the deck guns are not at the bottom of the river now and that much may be salvagable. But I am also very happy to know that everyone was safe including the feathered and furry ones. I hope that everyone that can, does pitch in as it will be much needed.
  15. The jars of dirt I was selling in The Voo Doo Shack at Ojai were selling ok. :)
  16. Ahoy Captain Gary! Just happened upon this thread. Glad to hear you're back on the ship after your surgury and that all is well! Be sure to say hello to the rest of the crew from the Pirates of Harbor Bay. Old Redd and I are performing our arses off at the Dicken's Fair and Stitch is doing well with his Sea Wolfe Trading Company. We sure miss the old girl out on the bay!
  17. Aye! I surely know them from several venues. Currently they are performing as the Paddy West School of Seamanship at the Great Dickens' Christmas Fair. They take over a whole breezeway and do a splendid job. They are one of the highlights of the whole event and whenever I am not performing I am usually watching or singing along with them. Unfortunately, playing Fagin at the fair keeps me kinda busy.
  18. I too have order a couple of pairs from them with no problems and good quality boots. First pair 3 years ago which I wore into the ground. Very happy with them so far.
  19. Aye quite an office it is! And it IS quite a bit different (full) now! I just thought it was cool that it is in the old animation building. For an animator...THAT was quite an experience.
  20. HEHE! For that many dubloons you could hire an impersonator for a good many hours and not worry about getting splinters I only charge 300 an hour and the rate drops for multiple hours... and the costume and gear are much more accurate.
  21. Uh, that's the funniest twill I've ever seen. If you look at the large close up on the page you can clearly see the material. large close up The hat is no where even close to accurate. And there is no coat in any of the images. I'm beginning to think that what you saw and what we are looking at are two totally different things.
  22. I agree that there are far too many inaccuracies to make it worth even half the price. The hat looks like the Halloween versions out there for 25 bucks. The compass does look like the toys they are selling for 24.95 on ebay. And Jack's waistcot is NOT corduroy. Collectors will buy it just because it says an Imagineer made it. Kind of scary.
