Blackbeard Movie on Hallmark Channel
Black Hearted Pearl replied to Captain Jim-sib's topic in Pyrate Pop
Alas I don't get the Hallmark channel, so it appears I missed little. However, I have to say this: Thank you to the Hallmark channel for hiring those who love to play pirates. Anyway any of us who can get paid to play pirate, I say Huzzah! I also say Huzzah! to Disney for reviving the tradition of hiring Tallships to help keep them afloat and to the Hallmark channel for hiring them as well. Who needs industrial light and magic when you can get the real thing? -
Cuttroat Pirates days in Corona
Black Hearted Pearl replied to Arthur Richards from Kent's topic in June
As it is an inland empire desert, it is a DRY heat, so keep your whistle wet....with water, not alcohol. -
Cuttroat Pirates days in Corona
Black Hearted Pearl replied to Arthur Richards from Kent's topic in June
Sir, diehard was not meant to be taken as a bashing, but rather a compliment of committment. I apologize if you have perceived it this way. I think your idea would hold merit with any other fair but not Tom's. Can you name any other fair where the participants are required to pay for admittance through unusual badge fees? If I attend Tom's events, it will be as a paying customer so I may do as I please. Then it is only to support my friends who endeavor under such regime. -

Those are the most recent NQG's and continuing to next month's issue. If you contact Jamaica Rose at NQG, you can back order the other issues of Cascabel's 3 part series. Just drop her an email.

No offense mate, but I don't think I want a car that had been buried. The treasure doesn't seem to have value. What marketing rep thought up this one?

I imagine they did what those who work outside still do. They wore long sleeves as well as long pants and a bandana to cover the tops of their heads.

Nope, never been to Puerto Vallarta, but I've been to Cabo San Lucas, Rosarita Beach, Costa Maya, and Cozumel. I've also been to Nogales and Tijuana, but I don't really count those. Just look for the words "booze cruise" and you'll be in the right place.

Pirates of Treasure Cove
Black Hearted Pearl replied to Arthur Richards from Kent's topic in Find a Crew or Introduce One
Maybe I shouldn't post this, so forgive me if I offend. Aye mates, I want to plays with you, but as well as RumbaRue knows Corona be nothing short of hell. Tom doesn't treat participants well. The dates of the event are horrible considering the weather during that time. I did 2 of Tom's events and both times I was amazed at his ill treatment of volunteer participants. My money and time are too valuable to feel cheated at one of Tom's event. In short, I won't be participating at any of Tom's events. Already living in a hot as hell place, don't want to work it. ~BHP -
back yard pirate cove, piratical decor
Black Hearted Pearl replied to oderlesseye's topic in Beyond Pyracy
Having earned my assistant cannoneer swabs, I would be cautious firing a "restored" cannon. If you get a chance, go talk to Master Gunner Gary Harper on the Spirit of Dana Point at the Ocean Institute. He's the best source for true firing cannons on the west coast. He still has all his fingers and hands. Also, I think you should paint your house a different color. All that beautiful rich brown wood and that baby blue in the background. It's a little too much contrast. -
Haven't heard, but she must have been a redneck after all that.

I'm a glutton for pirates. I'm going to the first showing at the El Capitan and I'm going with the PRP on July 8th....in garb both times.

About to build a small sailboat, anyone else ever?

Fiberglass is easy enough to do. If you can get your hands on a power sander, it makes the job look more professional. Just remember only to mix enough to do what you can during the time your working. Fiberglass is mixed with an epoxy hardener. You only have a little time to get it where you want and smoothed out. If you're going to make the boat look like a wooden boat, don't worry about how smooth the fiberglass is. Just make sure you are plugging all the holes. You can always sand down the fiberglass to make it look cleaner. You can tint your fiberglass to make it match your wood. West Marine has a nice supply of fiberglass tints. Although, you can paint fiberglass. You will have to prime it first, but then you can paint it any color. I like center dagger boards myself, but they can keep slipping down and slow you down if you're on a run. Be sure to have a way to tie it up. For piratical things, check out your local thrift store or visit www.deadmantellnotales.com . They always have fun piratical things. Good luck and take some pics. -
Any advice welcome regarding a pirate song or skit
Black Hearted Pearl replied to princess_eskimo's topic in Pyrate Pop
I think you should have the male pirates drinking and trying to count the treasure. Then when the female pirate comes in, they start singing and dancing while she quietly gathers up all the treasure and then when the captain gets up from his drunken stupor and yells, "get back to work you scalywags", the female pirate quickly walks away with all the treasure. The male pirates, remembering the treasure, realise it's gone and say "that's the best pirate I've ever seen." Just me two dubloons worth, -
LOL, not yet. We are going down to the book signing tonight here in Arizona. I told Brad, that's my friend who co-wrote the book, that this had better work soon. I need spending money for this summer's pirate events.

In yahoo mail, go to options. There you will find an option to block an email address. Add bloodybuckets@pyracy.com to it. You can always remove it later after this mess has been cleaned up.

kass, you spelled necessary correctly, the bogus email didn't. Do not open anything from the pub. If people want you bad enough, they can leave you a personal message here. Change your email settings to "NOT ALLOW OTHER USERS TO SEE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS" Do not delete your email address from the pub, or you won't be able to log back in.
