Haven't tried that experiment yet... but I would bet that the cinnamon, anise or sassafrass would...

I've never liked regular tea, but I love herbal teas. So, I picked some yummy flavors and also made sure to get some that may be helpful like the sinus tea as many of us had sinus issues down there last year.

For those of you who like tea, or would just like to try something different (as herbal teas taste nothing like regular tea) I will have 10 herbal teas up for purchase inside the fort. They will be at our Tea n' Tings Shop which will be in the casement at the far side of the parade grounds. 100% of the proceeds from all tea shop will go to the American Cancer Society through our Relay for Life fundraising efforts. (so feel free to tip your wenches well!) Here's what's on the tea menu Anise Star Pods (licorice in flavor) Cinnamon Bark Lemon Grass Rose Buds Peppermint Spearmint Sassafrass (Root Beer) Immune Supporting Tea - Ingredients - Echinachea, Astragalus, Rosehips, Calendula, Burdock, Red Clover, Peppermint, Spearmint, Boneset and licorice Sinus Tea - Ingredients - Elder Flower, Eyebright, Echinacea, Orange Peel, Dandelion leaf, Goldenrod. The price is $2 if you don't have your own muslin teabag and $1 for a refill using your bag. We will have hot water and a few teacups if you would like to sit in the area and enjoy your drink. If you're on the run, we have styrofoam cups as well. We supply the hot water. We'll also have honey and cane sugar to add. If it goes well this year, we'll add more flavors next year! See you all there! Diosa

I am planning to be there for serving many of the meals. I will also bring one or two of my wenches with me.

Hey Harry! That's awesome! Send him over my way! I have accessories and such and would be happy to set him up with some jewelry, coinage, etc! Diosa -
Just wondering... What time is dinner each day... In addition to getting people to pay for the food I figure a couple flirting serving wenches may be able to bring in a few more bucks :) I'll be happy to send a couple over at dinner. Diosa

I actually found some dutch oven instructions for the biscuits I am going to try... this could be a yummy experiment :) actually if ya put a small pie pan...on top of a trivit...inside the dutch oven...then they'll not burn on the bottom Hmm... maybe if this works the winner of Walk the Plank will get biscuits and gravy..... Ready to defend your title dogge?? :)
-
I like that idea. Are we still doing the cutting in the Cat & Fiddle? Of course! We're all yours for this one!

sorry luv...cant do grits....born and raised in the great ocean feilds of corn....had my litteral fill of them...i can do about 2 ears of sweet corn a year...then my body goes into to fits...... but biscuits & gravey?...from homade sausage...homemade biscuits???....mmmmmmm....but right now i will be satisfied if i can git some country ham and biscuits...... course i have noticed that ole callenish has been remarkably silent thru these posts... Well Dogge, no promises... but if I can find a little time in the next week (as we leave for PIP the day after thanksgiving) I will try to figure out biscuits and gravy over a fire.... Here's where you should mentally be pulling for all my clients to be happy with my first drafts of everything over the next week... :) Less stress from them means more time for me to experiment....
-
So, are you saying we need some grits at PIP? I would LOVE to do biscuits and gravy, but there are a few complications doing those down there.... Although I may mull it over....I may even be able to deliver them with a little bit o' southern drawl... Diosa

Oh wait!!! We had snow that one time!! what... 6 years ago... at the space center... couple flakes....never really made it to the ground... but it was the top news story... Then we went back to the beach....
-
Hmm..... landlocked.....snow.... no southern munchies....what the heck are you doing in Detroit again????
-
long as both those Ham's git packed....Haimish and the country Ham Animal... You're on watch... keep Dogge away from our hams or no rations for you... he seems to have a ham fixation....
-
While you may not want to make the walk in the mornings, I will have hot water inside the fort on the parade grounds as I am doing herbal teas....
-
Don't worry Dogge... I'm the safety officer. I will be ready and willing to save most people, were there to be issues... although I may make an exception in your case Although, if you are wearing the armor, you have better chances as I would want the armor....

Funny you mention that... If he had taken a shot of the yard a little to the right, there is a gazebo with rum barrels, onion bottles and the like as well as a few pirate flags flappin in the breeze :)
-
Ay, we are. Just in front of the far casement. It will be 1/2 the jewelry shop and 1/2 serving herbal tea under the Tea & Tings Sign.

Ahoy all! The prizes for this year's National Walk the Plank Championship are being bottled up now! They are limited edition wine bottles, that are only being made for the 3rd, 2nd and 1st places. The higher you rank, the more wine you win. Where else do you get trophies you can drink? Then you can keep the bottle as your claim to winning! Diosa

Silkie, thanks so much for helping us out in the charity arena! I will send wenches over at dinners to help in serving and whatnot! I'll start setting up a schedule so at least a few of our girls are over there with their 'chests' ready to be filled.... with money that is :) Diosa

Better yet, you could line your crewe up and when you hit the keys they are hit with spikes and yowl for you!
-
Hmm.... I suppose I can take care of ya then I have those first two covered..... But at the same time... the right set of breasts would probably get you to wear a collar....
-
My tip is that ye find someone else to serve... perhaps ye would like to borrow Bess? Hmmm I wonder.................perhaps we could make a contest of serving wenches to see who could raise the most money for a good cause. Ahoy! Thanks so much! I will bring a few of my wenches over and we can serve too if ya like! I would say we will probably have to serve at 5ish as the parade is 7 that night and most people head to town well before the parade! PM me and let me know what you would like to do and we'll head over to help! Michelle

Well Jessi Since this thread was started we have moved over to Melbourne and now call that our home port. I suppose that means we're just a drive up 95 :) Diosa
