Not to be confused with "National Speak Like a Pirate Day" on September 19th. When is National Pirate Day? Sources tell me that National Pirate Day is in May, but there seems to be some confusion about the actual day. I've almost certainly missed it. Anyone?

A few weeks ago, I had my first event with the SCA. Linkie I'm pretty sure you all know about them, but still, here's be a linkie. I came up with a persona already, I just need to work on it and *cough cough* become an actual member *cough cough* and get all official and stuffs. I'm a Chinese merchanter's daughter named Yue-E. Its kinda funny, though. I'm the only one in Weldsmere with a Chinese persona. But there are three Japanese personas... But anywho, its all fun, and I loves it. Celtic Revolt is in three weeks. Its being held in Davenport Washington, and I am so excited to go. I just got back from Newcomers Event. Which was helf in the same place th…

Thanks to our fellow mates up in Fernandina Beach, FL. The pirates are up there are absolutely terrific, the landing was loud and obnoxious (as all good landings should be with cannon fire) and everyone made our crewe feel welcomed and at home. If you haven't put Fernandina Beach's Shrimp Festival on your calendar, you should. They love pirates up there... -- Captain

I will still need to find a place to stay, as hotel...that'll be a hard one, knowing how expensive they are, so i will have to find a guest place but i'll get there..i'll go..LA HERE I …

I propose that on Sunday, 01 May, all available pirates spend the day at Mystic Seaport. If any of you have never been there, you're missing out. Hopefully by then, I'll be sporting the new sword I'm currently making at Mystic Seaport's shipsmith shop. This would be followed by moving to downtown Mystic to a great Irish pub, the Harp and the Hound. Every Sunday night they have sea shanties, and participation is strongly encouraged. I know the bartender fairly well (I'm turning in to a local there!) and could probably reserve a good table if there'd be enough of us. I'm going to look in to discounts for the costumed persons at Mystic, but would like an approximate nu…
