All right, here be m' story....And I'm stickin' to it! You may find m' story to be quite unbelievable, but, bear with me. I was borne to a Pirate...and a Queen! I was named Jezabel Mary Stewart Callis. M' father was John Callis, famed pirate of the English, Welsh and Irish Coasts. Prior to his arrest and imprisonment on charges of piracy, which carried a death sentence, Cap'n Callis was smitten and fell in love with m' mum, Mary, Queen of Scots. 'Tis alleged that they carried on an illicit afair, of which, I am their issue. Mary gave birth to me in secret just prior to her own imprisonment at the hands of her cousin, Queen Elizabeth. After m' mother abdicated her …

Seriously, I can't wait until the season starts. I am jonesing for some good times with my awesome pirate buddies. God, it's unbearable. Maybe this wasn't worth it's own thread, but seriously, I'm dying over here for some events. And I just went to TWO events in the last month! I might be hooked, people.

I sent Black Mab a belated Secret Santa gift about 2 months ago, and haven't heard if she received it. I've sent her PMs etc. She hasn't posted since Jan. 4th. The gift was rather large, and she had stated once that she didn't always get her packages. Curious. Now I'm a little worried about her.

The following I got over on MySpace from a friend, and I want to share it with everyone, if this is true, it has me a little upset, and will be sending an email to the San Diego Maritime Museum protesting this decision. "The San Diego Maritime Museum is dropping pirates from the program and removing the pirate exhibit because they believe that this "piracy craze" is a "dying fad and they want to be ahead of the game". Is that short-sighted or what? Of course, Disney must not know what is going on. They just spent many millions to renovate rides and parts of their attractions on this "dying craze". People in pirate costumes will not be welcomed there. Why? Because there …

It's not GaOP however, I have stumbled across the story of Alwilda a formidable * and female * pirate from Gotland Sweden. 13thC. Now I have to start researching my ancestry..whoo On the king of Sweden being taken by the Danes, permission was given to such of his subjects as chose, to arm themselves against the enemy, pillage his possessions, and sell their prizes at Ribnitz and Golnitz. This proved a fertile nursery of pirates, who became so formidable under the name of "Victalien Broders," that several princes were obliged to arm against them, and hang some of their chiefs. Even the females of the North caught the epidemic spirit, and proudly betook themselves to…

So that there isn't any confusion, I've decided to change my name slightly, from Master Studley to Master Sully. I believe I acquired the name Studley several years ago (PiP 2003 with the Pyrates of the Coast) from the large amount of piercings "studs" I had in my face, as well as my love of picking up heavy things. Could also be my way with the women. Somtimes I get strange looks from clients. They aren't sure if they had booked a pirate or a pirate stripper because of the name. Anyway it's a fresh name for a fresh new year. Hello again to old friends and new ones as well, this round is on Sully!

My cousin in England has been researching our family tree. While going over the charts on Christmas, I find that I have an ancestor, William Turner, that dates from around the early 1700's. Wonder if he was a seagoing man? Hawkyns

I don't know where this might belong, so I'll put it here. I recently wrote a multi-page sort of "book"-esque thing about PiP 2007 and put it on my website. When I did this, I noticed that I now had several scattered pages concerning pyracy on my website and that, yes, there were the definite elements of a complete new page. So I mined some old posts of mine (from another pirate forum website) and slapped together some new pages and created a pirate jump page for my website. You can see it here. There's some scholarly sorts of stuff and a bunch of more or less fun stuff (like the PiP thing and my much beloved 1000 Word Do-It-Yourself Pirate Report). Note particularly …
