I am getting ready to update my signature, etc.,and need these fonts for other things. Although I typically 'pyrate' fonts because I'm just that, i am planning on spending thr $49 for this Minutman printshopset, after I recieve my income tax refund. I am also wondering if this forum is capable of actually adding these fonts. it'd be neat to have something other than the generic six.

Not sure where exactly this'll go but I'll try here. I'd love to learn swordfighting and the sort. Be there a video or DVD set out there to help? Difficult for me to just find a few folks around to learn. Already tried that, can't seemed to find some blighters. So, figured that if there was something I can watch in the comforts of m' quarters to help and practice, at least I know what th' devil I'm doing. ~Lady B

This be m' first post. Just found m' way here at the invite of a fine Wench at the Ft. Myers Port. M' thanks, Honour Bright. I be Jezabel Mary Stewart Callis MacPeaks, otherwise known as Jezzy the Butcher. I'll be obliged to share m' story in another part of this here forum, if ye care to know me better. In "Mundania" I hail from Ohio. I gave up a fine management job at a store in a mall there to go on the road to live the "Faire" life. I've been hauntin' faires for the past few seasons and fell madly in love with the Rennie Life. Bein' a Pyrate is where m' heart is! Imagine how restrained I be feelin' now as I ain't exactly permitted to be a Pyrate at this here …

I'm new here , been doing SCA as an Elizabethan privateer for 25 years, cause the Golden Age is post SCA period lookin fer some pirate fun! Some folks have mentioned being a fan of certain movies, for me it's The Black Swan, Captain Blood, The Sea Hawk, and while some may take offense at this, Cutthroat Island (Good fun in the classic style) The Disney trio was fun (when the first one came out the SCA group I was in at the time talked the local theater into bringing us in for live fencing demos in the lobby and theatrical fencing at the beginning of each show on opening night) After all it's all fun and games until someone loses an eye, THEN IT's a GAME OF CHASE TH…

Just thought I'd ask before diving in again. For those who remember me, I'm buying! For those who don't, I'll be drinking rum. And make it snappy. Oh! And the profile photo! No, I couldn't breathe, and yes, I didn't especially care.

Avast! (I thought I'd use that old cliché, as it was originally a Dutch word) I'm new to this board, so here's the introduction, before you all become impatient and nail my gizzard to the mast: I'm a 34-year old Dutch writer with a few non-fiction books published, one of which explored the legend of the Flying Dutchman (and I wrote it at least two years before 'Dead Man's Chest', so it's not mentioned). My first novel has been picked up by a big publisher (Arrr, it may be break-through time!) and will be published, if things go according to plan (best laid plans and all that, every pirate knows never to take the next dawn for granted, eh?) sometime around october. It's…

All right, here be m' story....And I'm stickin' to it! You may find m' story to be quite unbelievable, but, bear with me. I was borne to a Pirate...and a Queen! I was named Jezabel Mary Stewart Callis. M' father was John Callis, famed pirate of the English, Welsh and Irish Coasts. Prior to his arrest and imprisonment on charges of piracy, which carried a death sentence, Cap'n Callis was smitten and fell in love with m' mum, Mary, Queen of Scots. 'Tis alleged that they carried on an illicit afair, of which, I am their issue. Mary gave birth to me in secret just prior to her own imprisonment at the hands of her cousin, Queen Elizabeth. After m' mother abdicated her …

Seriously, I can't wait until the season starts. I am jonesing for some good times with my awesome pirate buddies. God, it's unbearable. Maybe this wasn't worth it's own thread, but seriously, I'm dying over here for some events. And I just went to TWO events in the last month! I might be hooked, people.

I sent Black Mab a belated Secret Santa gift about 2 months ago, and haven't heard if she received it. I've sent her PMs etc. She hasn't posted since Jan. 4th. The gift was rather large, and she had stated once that she didn't always get her packages. Curious. Now I'm a little worried about her.

The following I got over on MySpace from a friend, and I want to share it with everyone, if this is true, it has me a little upset, and will be sending an email to the San Diego Maritime Museum protesting this decision. "The San Diego Maritime Museum is dropping pirates from the program and removing the pirate exhibit because they believe that this "piracy craze" is a "dying fad and they want to be ahead of the game". Is that short-sighted or what? Of course, Disney must not know what is going on. They just spent many millions to renovate rides and parts of their attractions on this "dying craze". People in pirate costumes will not be welcomed there. Why? Because there …

It's not GaOP however, I have stumbled across the story of Alwilda a formidable * and female * pirate from Gotland Sweden. 13thC. Now I have to start researching my ancestry..whoo On the king of Sweden being taken by the Danes, permission was given to such of his subjects as chose, to arm themselves against the enemy, pillage his possessions, and sell their prizes at Ribnitz and Golnitz. This proved a fertile nursery of pirates, who became so formidable under the name of "Victalien Broders," that several princes were obliged to arm against them, and hang some of their chiefs. Even the females of the North caught the epidemic spirit, and proudly betook themselves to…
