Long ago, when the world was still quite new, there were no winds at all, neither the gentle breeze of summer nor the fierce winter gale. Everything was perfectly still. Nothing disturbed the marsh grass on the shore and, when snow fell, it fell straight to earth instead of blowing and swirling into drifts as it does now. At that time, in a village near the mouth of the Yukon River, there lived a couple who had no children. This made them very sad. Often the woman would sigh and say, 'How happy we would be if only we had a child!' Her husband would sigh too and answer, 'Yes, if we had a son, I would teach him to stalk bears and seals over the ice-floes, and to make trap…

I finally subscribed to Netflix so I could see some of the movies that Blackjohn and Duchess have been recommending to me. (You can't find a lot of this stuff at BlockBuster.) And a whole new world has been opened - DVD releases of old TV Shows. I'm not much of a TV fan, but when I was a kid... well I liked intellectually stimulating shows like Magnum P.I., The A-Team, The Dukes of Hazzard and Quincy. Anyhow, thanks to Netflix, I've been able to check out or catch up with some really interesting old shows like The Avengers, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Hogan's Heroes, Wooster and Jeeves & Cowboy Beebop (See ya' in space, cowboy...) - and all commercial free. Now I find the…

It's the only website that moves slower than a snail for me. This started happening since yesterday morning. No matter how many times I've rebooted, cleaned out the temp. folders, the cookies and so on this website moves so slow. It's takes so long for the pages to load. Has anyone else been having this problem too? It's weird that it's only here at the pub that this is happening.

Big Internet operators like AT&T and Verizon want the power to decide which Web sites open properly on our computers--giving them control over what we do and where we search online. So far, Congress has caved to their demands. But because of intense public pressure, some members of Congress are starting to switch from AT&T's side to ours! In just a week, Congress saw over 250,000 of us sign a petition demanding the Internet stay free. Joining this call are tech pioneers like Google and Microsoft, diverse groups ranging from MoveOn to Gun Owners of America, and even some celebrities. If enough of us stand up now, there's still time for the House of Repre…

Hey all... I went to clean out the cookies, and found around thirty porn sites. I don't need to go there, and don't. My 14 yr old only uses the computer while I'm sitting right next to him, and my better half is like me on the subject of porn. Have I been "hacked"?

For Mother's Day I made my Mom a CD. She like it so much she wants another one. She made me a list. and one of the songs she wants is "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot me down)" Now on the two disk set they list the song on both disk one as the "Original" (disk one) and the other has Bang Bang. Now dose that mean that disck 2's is a live version or is it an exstended version? the reason I ask is so I know if it is worth getting it or not

Ok Im seriously ticked. I chat with a lot of friends on msn, a few weeks ago I was contacted and added to someones list. I thought it was one of my friends who is often changing emails and sn's. So I accepted it and to my disbelief it's some guy I have never met nor spoken with and he will not tell me how he came by my info. I blocked and deleted him but now he is sending me e-mails and such. How can I get him to stop or who do I contact to report him? He's really freaking me out and I hate being freaked.

I'm putting together material for a training on creativity when I came across an on-line coloring book on physics. Now that's creative. I'm not sure how much sense it makes, but there you are. Get your tots started early!
