So, apparently, my favorite group of late isn't well known. Have you heard of Gym Class Heroes? I know I'm younger than the average pub member, but music is universal. If you haven't, I recommend looking them up on Youtube and watching a couple videos. My personal favorites are "The Queen and I" and "New Friend Request."

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071221/ap_on_...4ioGVubu6oDW7oF The link above tells about the Chinese raising an 800 year old ship....The ship dates from the early Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279). It was discovered in 1987 off the coast near the city of Yangjiang, in Guangdong province, in more than 65 feet of water. It was carrying... Green-glazed porcelain plates and shadowy blue porcelain items were among rare antiques found during the initial exploration of the ship. Archaeologists have also recovered containers made of gold and silver as well as about 6,000 copper coins. Check out the site for more information.

So we now have us a house. The deal almost fell through... oh... six times? (Price changing, cost of moving changing, wanted cash dollars up-front, etc. etc.) But, it is ours now and in-place on the family land. Plus, it cost us less than our last car did. Granted, it needs tons of time and work and likely money invested to make it habitable, much less welcoming, but that's all stuff we can do as we do it. It's a double-wide mobile home, which was not our first choice, but again, the price was well worth it. And, it will be a fine home once we're done. Just wait a bit on that house-warming invite, though...

Up late and celebratin by meself. Snow is falling and the woods around the house is deathly still. If it weren't for mass consumption of rum, I would go fer a stroll through the woods like I used to before gettin older an havin a family to look after. Finals are done and now I get to relax fer a bit before tackling the honey-do's that I didn't during the course of this semester. I love the snow, but momma nature can shove that friggin ice up her... Anyhow, just ramblin on through a rum drunk that I earned from bein a good student. My Pappy can't figger out why I almost flunked outta high scholl and can get a 4.0 gpa and maintain it for three whol semesters. Damn I…

Anyone recall back in the 80s on Nickelodeon an animated series called "the Mysterious Cities of Gold"? Originally a French series that was dubbed in Japanese and English. The French version and Japanese version has been out for nearly a decade. FINALLY the english version will be available in 2008! Here is a link to one website that will have the official English DVD set info for England: The Mysterious Cities of Gold UK DVD set Distributors for the US and Canada are still in the works. Exciting as this is a GREAT animated series that greatly appeals to children both to inspire their imagination, spike their interest in history, and enjoy good family entertainm…

Saw this this evening on RR under strange headlines....As reported on the AP. NEW YORK(AP) A man reporting for jury duty was arrested when security discovered that his cane concealed a 2 1/2-foot sword and a 6-inch dagger, police said. Vladislav Lisetskiy, 40, was arrested Monday at Brooklyn Supreme Court as he attempted to pass through security, police said. The cane "attracted attention because of the way it looked," said Maj. Luz Bryan, commander of courthouse police. "It had two metal bands. It's an indication that something is concealed. My officers noticed it right away." New York state law prohibits concealed blades or knives. "He kept saying that he didn't kn…

Ok, friends and fellow posters...the spam is back. The registration was closed for awhile, so the spammers were cut off. However, it has been re-opened and this forum is one of their targets. So the simple fact is we're going to get spam. No one is more distressed than the guy who has volunteered to do clean-up in this forum. It's easy to spot - the username is usually jibberish, they always put a smiley icon in the title and the title itself is usually a dead giveaway. (If you see spam that doesn't fit this format, feel free to pm me or report the offending post (using the report button) just in case I don't see it.) I suggest you just ignore it and don't increase the …

OK all I am just curious as to what you would like to do in the GAoP? Let's say that you get a chance to go back would you go? Let's say that now you get to go back in good health? What do you think that you would really do or try to do? How would you go about it? What are your chance of succeeding?
