Cap'n Coyote Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 Or cannonball catching, or flintlock target, or pincushion. (What?...I'm outta practice) I would happily volunteer to be a victim. Rumors of my death were right on the money.
Captian Wolfy Wench Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 I'd vounteer t'be anythin'! Artist, extra, intern, body double, landin' pad... oh, if'n me brother still worked fer Disney, I'd be in better shape. I talked to one of the extras in the movie, a man who was on Jack's crew (check out the big, bald guy with the orange-y shirt), and he said he sent his picture in somewhere becuase he was part of a pyrate reinactin' group, and they cast him, 'cuz he looked authentic. I already heard about the sequel. It's no suprise, really, the movie's makin' so much, and of course Johnny'd be back! he had a blast playin' Capt'n Jack, and Jack's the star of the film anyway. I'm also amlost sure Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightley are already signed on, and I hear the new movie's goin' to explore more of Will Turner's pirate side, and more of Jack's past. Yayay! Captain Wolfy Wench
Red Maria Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 That fine fellow would be Jerry Reyes aka Francisco de Bratejna (I don't think I spelled that right). He is a fellow Port Royal Privateer to Iron Bess and meself.
Bloody Charity Kidd Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 Aye! and I be right happy to hear that Capn' Jack will be returnin'. I was worried they'd try to do the second with out him if he didn't jump aboard! Plunder Bunny Jackie Sparrow Bloody Charity ButterCupChuckleButt Kidd
Dreamie D'Avanzo Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 Ye-har I heard about this a while back, and I can say I'm mighty thrilled. Whatever they need, I'll volunteer as well! Artist, actress, enhancin' the scenery, craft ship service, aye? lol ~pirate mode off~ In a week or so I was actually going to look back into a modeling offer from last year, but didn't have any time for. So if anyone has any resume sending information, let me know, and I'll be your eternal servant. lol ~pirate mode on~ Biological compound formulas an' lab work don't get me jollies like it once did. I might be lookin' to find a new trade. Good pyratin' me loverlies! ~Dreamie~ "Ah, the city.. with all it's people and their accumulated wealth, yes?" -Yoshimo www.Dreamie.org
LadyBarbossa Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 I'm excited for the sequel. Ok. I'm going to be rather cheesy about this.. but I would LOVE to be in the next movie.. or the 3rd one.. maybe both! Alas, still working on the fine details of becoming an actress. But... re-enactor is close at the moment.. I hope. One can only hope. How much fun would that be? huh? Sure .. rub elbows with the stars, sure whatever... it'st he fun of being in a pirate movie that would just kick butt! A dream of mine since I was young. Crossing my fingers to be able to be in a local play of Treasure Island here in Cedar Rapids Iowa. aka landlubber heartland. Enough to make any landlubber want to turn pirate! Keep us updated... Please? Huzzah! Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" "I'm completely innocent of whatever crime I've committed." The one, the only,... the infamous!
John_Young Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 Well, they did an open casting call last year about this time for the first movie. It was hours in the sun.... then take yer shirt off, speak into the camera.... Don't call us, we'll call you. 'Twas the first time I was told I was *Too good looking* for a role. They want really ugly, nasty, messed up pirates. No makeup. "Yo Ho, all together hoist the colours high Heave Ho, theives and beggers Never shall we die..." "I don't care who ye say you are lad, if ye say 'savvy' one more time, I'll bury this cutlass in that thick skull of yers!" -Captain John Young - PILF
Iron Bess Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 I've no word yet on any open casting since the story is still not on paper as of yet. True enough they like the *lived in* look for the pirates but with other skills such as sword work or sailing or such like (shrug) who knows? I have to say though that since a tech crew has already been established from the first film, most if not all of them will be asked back for another go round. It's just that way Bruckheimer works... When it comes across my desk, I'll pass anything that seems good on to you folks... My word as a Pyrate! (heh, heh) Well, you may not realize it but your looking at the remains of what was once a very handsome woman!
Black Deacon Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 That would be greatly appreciated lass. My Res. -------------- "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty well preserved piece without an even a kiss your hand, but to skid across the line broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out, smelling of powder, shouting ARRRG!!"

A lass of m'word I am and (just about) everything I know, I'll pass along to you all right smartly!! I'm just proud o' one o' me old schoolmates from Industrial Light and Magic...who produced some of the more elaborate concept paintings fer the first POTC. I hope he's back on board this time round. -Redd YARRR! The Oktober be silent now! Just call me "REDD!"
Dorian Lasseter Posted October 24, 2003 Posted October 24, 2003 Aye Ladds n' Lassies, T'other nite, on 'entertainmemt tonite' there was a bit about what's happening with POTC 2... They says that their gonna do the same thing as the Matrix... film POTC 2&3, back ta back.... Anyone else see this? Seein' as it was on TV, Is it a grand ruse, or reality? Iffn' it be true, Where do I sign up ta be in 'em?!?!?! Truly, D. endkaos Posted October 25, 2003 Posted October 25, 2003 Aye, I, too, have heard that is what they will be a doing. If I reckon correctly, the idea of back to back sequels came from Lord of the Rings. It be a keepin the costs down and avoidin schedulin conflicts. I just a likin the fact it means a POTC3 and I won't be havin to wait months betweens fixes. ~Tori Like any unmanned ship, a novice sailor will eventually steer into the wind and then in circles.
El Pirata Posted October 25, 2003 Posted October 25, 2003 Cool beans. I can't wait until it comes out. Maybe this one I can see in Spanish in another country like I did the first one. Pushing the limits means getting out of my comfort zone and giving more when I don't think I have any left.
dickosfortuna Posted October 26, 2003 Posted October 26, 2003 I want to audition fer a role too... Hey Iron Bess.. Are you seriously werkin fer em? I'm a kiwi actor specialising in classical acting, I can do a pirate to a tee! I'm trained and have a curly moustache in readiness fer any potential role in a pirate film! If you have any idea who I would contact in the Biz to promote meself, please let me know. I'm stuck in Melbourne representing myself... so I need these fortuitous links! I MUST BE ON THE BLACK PEARL! 'My own master, on like occasions, would buy a whole pipe of wine and placing it in the street would force everyone that passed him to drink with him, threatening also to pistol them in case they would not do it... and very oftern, with both his hands, he would throw these liquors about the street and wet the clothes of such as walked by, without regarding whether he spoiled their apparel or not, were they men or women.'
Zephyr Posted October 26, 2003 Posted October 26, 2003 No start date because it's not yet been written! And if'n anyone is interested, the two writers settle into their new offices tomorrow.... right down the way from m'own. I'm hang'n a new banner on m'door as well to put the come hither on em.... Then me dear, I guess ye be lock'n them in their office, slide'n food under the door and not let'n them out until they produce a script at least the fellow of PotcCotBP.......an ye can let them know that ye not be on yer ownsome, ye have the whole gang at the PUB to stand with ye and many able to handle them if they become fractious. Aaarrr, they be think'n we'll be wait'n another two years for the sequel? " My other office is the Black Pearl!!"
Catariona VanGeldre Posted October 26, 2003 Posted October 26, 2003 I have to agree with you all that POTC will truely be a hard film to beat - but I wish them all the best of luck!! On the subject, I recently was in a bar with Johnny Depp - definently a coolest moment ever - he was in Old Montreal shooting his latest film. Maybe I should have taken the golden opportunity and given him my best pirate act right then ! Any how, I have a pirate RP thread in 'All the World is a Stage', currently the entire board and I are looking for new blood ! I would like to invite you all to come and join! All local piratical goings on are located in 'The High Seas', there you can either join my crew, or start one of your own! Also, feel free to mosey on into the other areas of interest such as: Tombstone, WWII, Japan, Renaissance.... Hope to see all of you there Go to: http://www.historicalroleplay.com Membership is always free! Do not fear death but the life unlived! -CV http://www.historicalroleplay.com
