  1. Yeah, no kidding - after I saw the first one I just... assumed that part 2 would be on its way. Well, it's been a long time coming, just how 'soon' is 'soon'? I know I'm just way out of the loop - but what recent movies has Mel Brooks done? Something he did could be bad??
  2. 'History of the World Part I' is GREAT!! I love that movie!! It's just hilarious!! I only wish they would make a Part II - oh, just think of the possibilities... it would be 'a miracle!'
  3. You'd better watch out about beating up on red heads - they grow up and into big red heads with tempers to match Ha ha ha, I'd am for another step child to pick on, if I were you -Catariona VanGeldre, La Rouquine ('The Red Head') '
  4. Ok, I went to movie night at a mate's place last night and I now have an official favorite BAD, and I REALLY mean BAD movie! (Drum roll please!!) Army of Darkness - with Bruce Campell That is, without a doubt, one of the worst movies I've ever seen but - it's great because of it - it's hillarious! :)
  5. Oh, I'm all for Captain Jack Sparrow - it's not even a decision - without thought, JACK! I mean, come on, Brad is attractive but he's just too true blue, too straight laced.... And, hey, if push came to shove, I wouldn't mind taking Depp himself either, since the topic was brought up
  6. I dreamt last night that I was standing on the deck of a brigantine. I could feel the wind blowing in my hair and the rise and fall of the deck beneath my feet. That was all, nothing more than just standing there knowing that it was mine. The freedom of it all was unbelievable...
  7. Alright, so pirates were, technically criminals... and cowboys tended to stay on the 'right' side of the law. But, come on, ladies, you've got to admit, there's always something indescribably irresistable about the rebel, the oulaw And, when you look at it, cowboys just don't have it
  8. Hey, whoa now , I'll not be labled an 'Anti-Disney-ite' I wasn't saying that 'The Little Mermaid' was, in any way, a bad movie - it's one of my all time favorites! Oh, no Disney is great - and having been a nanny for seven years, I well know the value of ol'Walt as a babysitter ha ha ha! Beauty and the Beast is a great one too!!
  9. Now that's one thing that I believe myself to be far too familiar with and none the better for it!!
  10. I gather I'm a bit too late but congratulations and cheers to the winner ;-D
  11. Hey, don't knock us tall thin red heads I happen to be one myself As far as pirate dreams go - if any of you are interested in piratical or nautical roleplay sail on over to: http://www.historicalroleplay.com and join us in 'The High Seas' in 'It's a Pirate's Life' (or start your own thread), if you think you can handle a red headed pirate captain, that is
  12. Ok, favorite 'bad' movie - well not really bad, just kiddy - 'The Little Mermaid'! It's got everything, romance & a bit of swashbuckling... and a song every 2 minutes! ha ha ha! :)
  13. As a huge fan of swash buckling adventure... and Russel Crowe, he's an excellent actor (ok, and gorgeous ), I'm SO EXCITED about the release of this movie. Its got wonderful direction behind it and I've heard that the soundtrack is amazing! I'm pulling for Oscars in this one! I think it'll be great! Definently on par with 'Gladiator'!
  14. Your Mr. Easton sounds like quite the character. I read the information on the link - he was a very interesting guy. If you have an interest in historical fiction and/or creative writing, come and join in at 'All the World is a Stage,' a historical roleplay board. I moderate a board there, 'The High Seas'. My pet project is a thread called 'It's a Pirate's Life'. It is about the life of a ficticious pirate captain, Catariona VanGeldre, based in approximately the year 1635. Whereas the main character is ficticious, I try to keep all goings on as true to fact as possible and tie in as many historical events happening in the era as I can. If you would like to tie the 'Pirate Admiral' into the story, we would love to have you. Also, you could start a thread of your own featuring Easton or another character. Come give it a look at: http://www.historicalroleplay.com
  15. I have to agree with you all that POTC will truely be a hard film to beat - but I wish them all the best of luck!! On the subject, I recently was in a bar with Johnny Depp - definently a coolest moment ever - he was in Old Montreal shooting his latest film. Maybe I should have taken the golden opportunity and given him my best pirate act right then ! Any how, I have a pirate RP thread in 'All the World is a Stage', currently the entire board and I are looking for new blood ! I would like to invite you all to come and join! All local piratical goings on are located in 'The High Seas', there you can either join my crew, or start one of your own! Also, feel free to mosey on into the other areas of interest such as: Tombstone, WWII, Japan, Renaissance.... Hope to see all of you there Go to: http://www.historicalroleplay.com Membership is always free!
