There is some creepy and not-to-bright employees that work there. But of course I've only seen those ones doing the cleaning and sweeping.

Don't they always have to have the most "top quality" peeps workin there, or they fire ye? That's what I was always told.

Aye lads and lasses I wisheth I could be joinin ye too.

*Gives Tortuga and Christine big hugs*

I loved Disneyland when I went there years ago.

I like the pirate shop at their POTC better than FLA.

I guess not to sweep up and clean up the park they don't have to-lol!

Aye, Tito, been hearing from other people who either live in Florida or work at the Florida one that the Pirates ride here in CA is far better. I've heard what they did to the Tiki Room in Florida too, ugh, how horrible! And yup, Pieces of Eight be my favorite store. :)

It has a modern upbeat song now. It also has Iago from Aladdin and Zazu from Lion King as the MC's instead of Jose. Ugh, our friend who works there says it's just so annoying!

Wow that sux!! I always liked that song. I like those characters, but the Tiki Room's gotta have its own personality and Jose and Friends made it just that. That's majorly too bad.

Alas, poor Tiki Room, I knew ye well.

I walk past that attraction every time, unfortunately not giving it a second glance (it's on my way to PoTC). It's really too bad the work done on it didn't work as the Imagineers had hoped. Maybe someday they'll restore it to its original glory (sans new characters, I mean).

Perhaps we'll meet again under better circumstances. ---(---(@

All this talk of Disneyland is makin me homesick. Last time I was there was more than 20 years ago. Went to Disneyworld several years ago. Didn't like it as much as Cali but that just may be nostalgia talking.

Out this way, Busch Gardens (Williamsburg) is far more fun.

Ugh, I can't believe how insanely crowded it's been at Disneyland lately. Even during the weekdays it's nuts! Of course yesterday was just another nutty crowded day. There's a huge line for everything, including the bathrooms! My sister wants to go up after she gets off work today at 4. She didn't get to go at all yesterday with the rest of us cuz she worked late. Eh, I'll probably go too, I'll be more rested up by then and have some errands done.

And I found something odd from riding the Pirates ride both Saturday and Sunday verses last weekend. The crabs were missing on both days, just the skeletons and sea weed were there. Also, there were 2 pirates being chased by a wench instead of 1. I had remembered last weekend there only being one and then this weekend a 2nd one was added. Iron Bess, do they some times add or change little things on the rides like that? Little things like removing the crabs and adding a pirate?

They may be doing little touch ups to them, or at least I'd hope that's the case. WDW's attraction is missing the dog in the singing pirate's scene, and I'm sure he'll be back.

Yikes...I forgot DL's tree house got changed around for Tarzan. So was it not a good change?

The Tarzan tree house.....eh, not too bad. Guess it could have gone a lot worse than it is.

Aye that be true. But its almost as if they are forgetting their longtime dedication to literature and history etc..... It used to be that Fantasyland was dedicated to the commercial characters themselves and that the other parts of the park were for other aspects of Disney's focus, be it classic literature, history, cultures, science, etc...

Now it seems they're making EVERYTHING revolve around their characters. Next thing you know, Hall of Presidents will become something like Hall of Disney CEOs!!
