Fancy Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 I thought somebody else had done recorded that song... I love that song... I googled to make sure I was remembering right... and found this little write-up you might find interesting... "One of the most romantic songs around is Dream Weaver, by Gary Wright. This song talks about meeting a dream lover in an out-of-body love experience. "I've just closed my eyes again Climbed aboard the dream weaver train Driver take away my worries of today And leave tomorrow behind" Unlike other dream songs which use dreams as a substitute for actually talking to the object of desire, in Gary Wright's song, the singer plans on meeting up with his lover in his dreams, having an adventure in the night - "Fly me high through the starry skies Maybe to an astral plane Cross the highways of fantasy Help me to forget today's pain" Gary Wright has said that he was inspired to write this song after taking a trip to India with then-Beatles George Harrison." Ok, that's the song trivia bit for the day. Fancy
