Captain Jim Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 There he goes again, makin' off with a treasure chest and booty what don't belong to 'im My occupational hazard bein' my occupation's just not around...
theM.A.dDogge Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Ah this poor thing... its mate was killed the morning after we arrived. A falcon struck it just above my head, I could actually feel the motion in the air, whilst I was cleaning out the trailer... and landed two feet from me... sad, but incredibly beautiful to see the falcon in action and that bloody close... I may use that if you don't mind. Hmmm use it ... how? Put it on my web page version of the journal. With credit, naturally. I haven't decided how much of this I'm going to do yet. Probably not too much. I do plan to use M.A. d'Dogges description of winning the Walk the Plank contest since it's vintage MD and I wasn't there. (Come to think of it... M.A. dDogge, do you mind if I use your description of winning the Walk the Plank contest? With credit, of course.) ah.....ok? vintage MD....does that meen i'm olde??
Capt. Sterling Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Aye, but not too old "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... I was forced to write what I would say to prevent the loss of blood, and because of the pain I suffered by speaking."~ Woodes Rogers Crewe of the Archangel http://jcsterlingcptarchang.wix.com/creweofthearchangel# http://creweofthearchangel.wordpress.com/
Mission Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 ah.....ok? vintage MD....does that meen i'm olde?? Ah... sorry. I was running out the door when I finished that post and that was the word that popped into my head. "Classic MD" would have been more appropriate. Mycroft: "My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?" John: "I don't know." Mycroft: "Neither do I. But initially he wanted to be a pirate."
Mission Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 So I collected 853 photos so far...not including whatever the Callahans put up to round out their lot. If I put all those on my website, my provider may disown me. (They once told me that I had been a client for so long that I could put as much stuff on there as I wanted. Hmm....) But initially he wanted to be a pirate."

silas thatcher Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 These shots are from the Thatcher's Photos. They take photos like you'd expect to find in a guide book - many of them quite crisp and lovely. These are serious, y'all. No jokes from me... thank you for your kind words.... the camera gave me alot of pics i was very pleased with....those are what i thought are the best of the best of the best..... i still have not uploaded the remaining 330 some odd pics... it is great to have everyone post their pics, since nobody got around to see it all... except maybe pappa ratsy :)

Silas, this is one of my favourite photos from the entire event.... This is the lot of us waiting for the battle and laughing at the cries of "Cousin Johnnie..." from up on the fort wall.
Silkie McDonough Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Funny ...I was thinking the quote should be something like "He's your cousin Capn'"
