I've been there twice. The last time this past summer. Hotter than Phoenix on the fourth of July. They don't believe in air conditioning their condos there. They have the "trade winds". My arse, there were no trade winds blowing this year. Sea was a flat as a mirror. The time before that, I was scheduled to be at the Sheraton Poipu Beach resort....the week before I was due to arrive..Hurrican Iniki demolished it. Ended up on Maui in an "currently being remodeled" Aston towers. NOT HAPPY. The moral of the story be...Hawaii, as does most islands, has very unpredictable weather. Bet on it. Sides, I'm partial to the caribbean. I love to "duty-free" shop.

You could post the pics on the Shutterfly website that was talked about on another thread. It's free and it creates a slideshow. You could have a link from your webpage to your shuttberfly webpage. What pirate wouldn't want to sword fight with the POTC being played in the background for an audience? However, I can think of a problem. If I were a kid and someone was sword fighting in front of me dressed like a pirate....well, me mind wouldn't be on me playing the intstrument.

Ahoy Scupper, I took off all the labels and was using it so I had to look high and low for it's name. I found one on Ebay. It is a smooth tequila, but the labels on the bottle obscure the bottle's beauty. Once I figure out how to post a pic I didn't pirate from another site, I will post one of it without the labels. Tequila "CORRALEJO" Reposado 375 ml. Neat

Me mate just purchased a large narrow bottle of tequila. As soon as he finished with it, I pirated it for myself. With a nice leather holder, it could hold a quite bit of rum instead of tequila.

I love the pics. Thank you for sharing. I wish I could go from pic to pic without hitting the "back" button on my browser. Am I doing this wrong? Is there another way? Hope you don't mind, I borrow (pirate) pics from you for me desktop.

Hawkyns, Your assessment rang true with my experiences of late. I volunteered at the Estrella War XX. It was a very enlightening experience. I think all persons considering faire vs re-enactment should visit both camps. The folks at the Estrella War were generous and outgoing to this novice with information and advice. I think I also got the best of both worlds as both the AZ ren faire and Estrella wars occured during the same month. Thank you for steering me toward the Estrella War experience.

Okay...let me understand this. Eisner fires/retires all the animators and buys puppets or should I say muppets? On top of that, Eisner screws up the deal with leading computer animators Pixar. I think he is going backwards here. Oh wait.. a Pizza Hut commercial just aired with Jessica Simpson and the Muppets...I guess Eisner just got paid.

Coastie04, With a single diesel engine, you won't be going around the Horn or the near the roaring 40's in that boat. Arrrg!, even the Lady Washington with her single diesel had trouble getting off the dock at Marina Del Rey in less than 35 mph wind gusts.

Of course I only be dreaming. I got the best thing around. A real pirate (corporate kind) hitched to me. He may not be all that dashing and daring, but he be a determined, committed and reliable mate (that's what parenthood does to you). I think I have enough bravado for the two of us. If only I could get him to wear the clothes; at bare minimum the boots...just for a night.

It doesn't look like I will be seeing the dashing pyrate before the War ends. Too many mundane committments keeping me away. I'm hoping that he will be at the Pyrate invasion in March at the Ren-faire. Me other hope is that the site photographer or film crew that were at the War got a pic of him, but that will take awhile to find out. I shall never forget him.

Ye need to post this on the calendar. Tis a simple task.
