  1. You don't need a kilm. The clay can be fired using a torch or a hot pot that costs less. See new link "If you are using PMC3 material you can fire in a kiln, in our Hot Pot, or using a torch. For Hot Pot use, see our simple Hot Pot firing instructions."see step 10 for PMC3 firing instructions.
  2. Me other suggestion is to make yer own. You can do this with metalic polymor clay. You can Halloween molds for the clay to get yer skull (candy molds work well too) and then emblish it with yer own bones. Attach it to an appropriate stopper material (cork or new polyster stopper). Once the clay is fired (in regular ovens usually), ye can enhance it with silver pewter and black paints. Here's more information on it. Precious metal clay
  3. Skull bottle stopper Maybe this will help. Or this one.
  4. I look forward to meeting a fellow pyracy pub pirate. I will be with my sister on the 20th. I will be wearing a blue and silver corset with a gold pirate ship pin in me hat. The pin always attracts attention after the men stop looking at me corset.
  5. Crossing my fingers, toes and scabbards. Come on, Disney...do it for Ol' Walt.
  6. I think Eisner should wait until the other "live-action" films are completed before going forward with the TV series. But Eisner is a businessman, not an visionary/artist like Walt was. I don't think he will wait because of all this pressure and that makes me sad. It will devalue the work of the writers who did a wonderful (if not historically accurate) job of creating a pirate story you could sink your scabbard into. Here's to hoping they persevere and succeed on the sequels.
  7. I think one of the winners (best documentary?) summed it up best when they said, "I'm thankful LOTR was not nominated in this category." Hopefully, since LOTR, Return of the King, was number 3 in this series, number 2 & 3 in the series of POTC have a shot for taking some oscars. The bar has been set. Can Disney beat it? With Iron Bess and the writers on their crew, I bet they can!
  8. Looks like I will be going two weekends. The 13th (depending on rain) to meet Rhumba Rue and the 20th, of course, for the Pirate Invasion. Me sundays are reserved for the family and sailing.
  9. Yep.... all four hours of it............
  10. That looks alot like me Disney POTC doll from 1985.
  11. All I ask is for stories behind the scenes (with lots of piratey embelishments). I can't be in the movie and just want to live vicariously through those who can. Just know I will be spending me plunder on the film to make it another success.
  12. Did you see Murray's face. I thought he was going to throw a hissy fit. He could never be a pirate. A pirate may be a criminal, but he's always a gentleman. :)
  13. You mean like "blow up" doll size?
  14. Don't forget to put the information on the calendar under "RAIDS" thread.
  15. I just wish he had been there to accept it. But with all the awards he has been nominated for, I can understand him wanting to miss a few of the shows.
  16. I'm having a thought here. Eisner cans the traditional animation departments; he kills the deal with Pixar, and has his own CGI film coming out "Chicken Little". An animated TV series for POTC? How about CGI animated series of POTC? You already have a "Buzz Lightyear" CGI Tv series. Iron Bess, your take on this thought please.
  17. Arrrrrrrrrgh! A toast to RhumbaRhue for the lovely entertainment. Pass the rum!
  18. The caribbean be cheaper for you than Hawaii, with you being in Chicago area. There be regional airlines flying down to Orlando area for a competitive price. From there ye can drive down to the keys or take a low cost cruise. The caribbean being more expensive "flight wise" for us on the West coast. About a grand a person if ye don't plan ahead. Hawaii on the other hand costs less for us (as low as $200 sometimes) and we have direct flights (yep, straight from Phoenix to the Islands.) As far as accommodations go, that I don't know. I spent a week at a condo (2 bd, 2 bath - extra kid slept on couch) and spent the same amount for a beach house in santa cruz, ca (3bd, 2 bath). So I guess it is more expensive. I cruised the caribbean, so I didn't have to worry about accommodations, cooking or cleaning. This is probably why I prefer the caribbean. There is only one cruise line for the Hawaiian Islands and it isn't very good (no a/c).
  19. I'm no pyrate expert, but didn't Captain Cook more or less pirate the Hawaiian Islands? The history books don't report it that way, but clearly based on native Hawaiin history, it seems he did.
  20. I be a novice, but I be sailin. Me boats name is "charter" as it best suits me income and lifestyle as of present. Me middle cabinboy will be taking his first lessons on March 8.
  21. I be embarrassed to say this, with me mate being in technology and all, but how do you download it to ye phone.
  22. It was in the 80's here today. Best time of year here (Phoenix, Arizona)..The rest of the time is blazing hot!
