  1. Ahoy! I am glad I ran across your post. I am having a Pirate themed halloween party. We will have two ships (2 long, large cardboard boxes painted brown) for a battle at sea (foam balls for cannon balls) and I was wondering how I was going to make the masts. I had some old condiut that I was going to drive into the ground and attach the sails to that...short of welding another piece of condiut to the mast for the boom, I didn't know how I was going to pull it off. Your idea of using black PVC is great. I hope you don't mind if I borrow it.
  2. Ahoy, I need ye help. I be trying to make little pirate into Captain Jack Sparrow for halloween party. Per ye mates' suggestions, I scoured the thrift stores and pretty much there. Me other hobbies are beadin and such and already had me a black wig. But me biggest problem is I haven't a clue on how's to make a tricor hat. I be much a holdin to those who could help. ~Thanks endkaos@yahoo.com
  3. Arrrrr! I agree. I am not a skilled seamstress, but alas, the 9 year old wants to be Capt'n Jack Sparrow for Halloween. I downloaded pics of me subject and am creating my closest, economically accurate costume. These on ebay are not even close. Tis a shame to take something so beautiful and corrupt it for profit. Tis better to take what you can and give nothing back.
  4. Avast, This be the Lemox ship of the Lemox collectibles. It is prone to breakage of the bow and stern projectiles. Be wary and do not pay full price for a broken ship. Michael's will discount such ships 25% if ye ask. Alas, such ship can be repaired, but only with jewelery grade glues. Look for Bond 527 adhesive to repair. These collectibles have gone upwards of $50 on Ebay as a "Pirates of the Caribbean" ship, but alas it is not. As these "boats" do not ship well, it is best to see if you can have a bargain at Michaels.
  5. Me plunder crosses many genres, but I concentrate on the mythical ghostly aspects of me pyrate theme.
  6. Aye, those be beautiful coins. The picture is clear enough to see their beauty.
