Little book report...speakin' o' ol' Long John... Jus' finished readin' The Curse of Treasure Island! Tis a fyne book, and well writ. It's a light read, but a fun one fer anyone o' ye who enjoyed the early adventures of Jim Hawkins. In this book, Jim lad be in his mid-twenties and must return to that cursed isle to save the honor of a lady in distress. And do 'e meet up with ol' John Silver, sez you? Well, matey, jus' you set deadlights on this here book an' find out fer yerself! -Redd

Arrr...That be Yellowbeard, matey! Graham Chapman of Monty Python fame. The movie included Marty Feldman, Peter Boyle, Cheech&Chong, Madelyne Kahn, Eric Idle, John Cleese, Peter Cook, and a whole slew of other well-knowns. It's not a 4 star movie...but it be a little gem that I have a soft spot in me black heart fer. By the way...here's a picture of what I've made so far - in action as it were... Gettin' there...truly gettin' there.

FLASH! "Depp lookalike, Ace of Harbor Bay, has also purchased an island hideaway for his family. Known only as "The Turtle's Shoe" it is a 12" x 18" bit of rock just off of the shores of Treasure Island in the San Francisco Bay. Rumor has it he paid a whopping $2 for it! One o' me mates at work be wonderin' if there be any rowin' songs out there...He says that he knows plenty of "rope hauling" songs...but was wonderin' if there be songs of the rowing variety...or if there even is a difference. All I can remember is "Hills, Gullies" from the Moby Dick movie... Any thoughts?

I agree, Jack. I also agree with Quill this is all fine and dandy as an idea...but it also works better when people are not "put out" by the endeavor ($$-wise). I would never think to ask for T.O.S.S. as a whole to pay for it, that's not what I meant. I could see it as an "individuals" endeavor, though.
