  1. If this pirate faire in Corona turns out really well, it will most certianly signal death to the one in Ojai-especially since Dick Wixon (who runs the Ojai events) has been losing money on the Sept. faires for a long time now. I think he's just about ready to close it down, as the only people showing up are the participants. Dick is making all his money now on the Escondido faires since he's gone to two weekends for spring and fall. And if'n PRP just happens to be next to Stranglehold, heheeee, ol Rumba will most certianly be up to her fine tricks.
  2. If'n I didn't hate needles so much, and be disowned by my companion, I'd have had a tat a long time ago. I've always wanted a small Celtic pentagram over my heart. My companion hates them, and I've been told if I get one, he can't have sex with me anymore, cuz he can't be a blood donor. The rules here in Calif. say you can't be a blood donor for over a year or more if you've just gotten one or had sex with someone who does. Rules are rules..... Course I could really freak him out, go to the PIP event and come back with one, providing someone is holding me down.
  3. Pirate Petee, is that your wife/girlfriend in the picture with you?
  4. It's offical, PRP will be at the faire with full encampment. Hope to see some of you maybe on Friday of set-up and on Saturday. Sorry, I won't be there Sunday due to previous engagement.
  5. **Wolfy Wench is a member of PRP, but haven't heard anything from her in a long time. My list: Jamica Rose Capt. Michael McLeod Capt. Grey Christine Bloody Mary Bonney Diego Rummy Wolfy Wench Black Hearted Pearl Iron Bess Red Maria Killian (but he doesn't remember, I do vaguely) Mad Eye Mitch Casabel Blaze PirateQueen Pyrate Phil -on the phone courtsey of Christine there may be a couple of others but at the moment my mind is blank.
  6. Queen of Hearts (me ) And there will be NO 'off with my head!'
  7. oh crap! I don't have a scanner! I've got some incredible pictures! hmmmm, maybe Capt. Grey does....will have to give her a call....
  8. I can't tell for sure, but the velvet used by Leatherworks looks like the rayon stuff, not cotton velvet. Call them and ask what kind of velvet they are using. You don't want that rayon stuff! Great for stage and TV, not for regular wear. Rayon is too shiny and anything against it will rub the velvet off or leave impressions that won't go away. However, the prices are not unreasonable considering the work involved. Yup, those shipping charges will kill you!
  9. Just to satisfy all your wondering curiousities, here are brand new pictures of what I currently have on hand. Sorry the pictures aren't better, but I did the best I could with what I had. If any of you are interested in purchasing one or more, let me know in a PM. Feather Hat Pins and Hairbarretts
  10. Oh yes! I've sent a PM to you and Paisley. Eagerly awaiting feathers from all so my crafty mind can get to work!
  11. Hey I thought that was yer ugly mug. LOL! Now I'll know who to look for when I go in Sept. ! BTW- Isn't that gal with the black hat, long straight blond hair, frilly top, ugh, dang can't think o' her name, but I knows she's here at the Pub. Someone help me, who is she?
  12. Might go on Sat. the 27th to Corona, but Sunday has already been spoken for. Also, the dates of Sept. 10 and 11 are the dates of the Tall Ships Festival in Dana Pt.
  13. LOL Tish! I know what you mean by loud. I use to have two parakeets, then I got my little Senegal parrot, and OHMYGAWD ye needed earplugs in my place. I eventually had to give the parakeets away because the noise level was on overload and I was afraid the managment would give me an eviction noctice. But most certianly, save those feathers! Even the small ones that come from the body of the birds! You'd be surprised what I've made with them. I made up 4 hair barrets that are just stunning, all done with small, tiny feathers from the two parakeets I had, and their tail feathers that fell out during molting. I actually sold one at Escondido fair. I'm only asking $15.00 for them. I try to keep my prices down to a level of affordibilty for the majority of people. The most expensive feather pin I have currently is $25.00.
  14. Yes I want them! Contacting you in a PM.
  15. Aye welcome Benbow, what a cute little monkey ye are! Ah Dread Pyrate Gregory, do ye be crewin' with the Royalist a lot?
