  1. Aye Killian, I've flirted with all o' yer guys in that picture, especially the two in the back(the big guy and the one next to him). In fact if'n they saw me, they'd recognize me for sure! LOL! I sure do get around.
  2. Aye, you are correct Rummy, I mis-read the dates. Can't be there second weekend, will be at the San Diego Festival of Sail. Anyways, Mizz Karen S. who is on the Big Bear Ren-faire Board is also a member and the Secretary for PRP. Ah, it's always nice to have friends in good places.
  3. Ok, since we've already passed the first weekend of this faire, I'll be there this weekend with my two boyfriends. We'll be working the front gate probably in the afternoons. Doing Security and ticket-taking, or whatever the Boss wants us to do. Hope to see some of you there!
  4. Blackjohn, you look just like a hoitey-toitey pirate! I love it!
  5. I'll be up there on Friday the 26th for set-up for PRP if any o' you come lookin' for me. I know my hair will be up due to the heat, an' probably wearin' a hat (not pirate). So be sure and look for the hot and sweaty blond hangin' round the PRP camp.
  6. Mad Jack, Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh, geeze you're getting better looking all the time! You have such a wonderful smile, oh and the 'toys' aren't bad either. The coat is very well done and has the flair without side insets. I swear I could see myself in the shine of that hat! Good for giving yourself away to the enemy, great for light signals (shoot there!) An' well the rest o' you.... (sigh)
  7. Depends on who you're tying up.
  8. Ya here is Calif. we call Wal-Mart, Wally World and Target, Tar-jay, that 'French store'. I love malted milk balls, will have to search for them.
  9. Well, why would I want to give myself away? I would prefer the sneak approach followed by clunk on head or stab. If that's not applicable, then a, "Hey you, wanna see my sword?" stab.
  10. Be careful that the material isn't too lightweight, otherwise if you'r sitting on haybales or wooden benches, you're going to find things stuck in your behind that aren't going to be fun.
  11. I can see where that site can/may/is going to create problems. The site as much as it wants to be well intentioned, is going to probably end up to be one of people taking apart other's costuming creations more than it will be of a learning how-to, as I suspect the person who created the site is hoping for. Many years ago the Costumer's Guild (created here in S. Calif.) was started by people I know who were heavily into costuming. There are three catagories, Novice, Journeyman, and Master. I have the whole book and how to judge such competitions. It took me many years to become a Master costumer. Not a site I choose to participate in.
  12. That's funny! Course then they are on a sinking ship.
