  1. I think one of the most fascinating things about our world, from the beginning of the early man, are the constellations in the sky, they are in the same place. Even in the days of yore, pictures of the constellations can be found in caves and in artwork of those who have gone before us. While we as a people have elvolved into what we are today, the sky has remained the same from early times. To me it's fascinating because I can see something in the night sky that my ancestors also saw. Ancient religions, worthy seamen/women used and in some cases still use those constellations to steer their beliefs by. Do I believe in UFO's, another life on another distant planet ? You bet I do, but I wonder if they see the same universe that we've seen over time. Do I believe in some great Creator who clapped his hands together and bingo there we all are, or some great evolution that happened because our world was right for it? I honestly cannot answer those questions and that will probably never be actually answered, simply because we have no absolute proof of one over the other of how it all started.
  2. I've been quietly reading everything here, but I feel I must speak up and speak to the reality. Especially to those who feel pot should be ok for people who really need it. If you came across a person somewhere with no visible signs of disability, smoking pot, what would you really think? 1. Are you going to quickly make the assumption that they are just drug-heads? 2. Would you make the assumption there is a need for it? I'm betting on people going with number one question. Sad but true, even though there are people like me who really need it for a reason, even though I show no outward signs of needing it, I would quickly be classified as a druggie by all whom do not know the real reason. How does that make me feel? I think you all would know the answer to that, but just in case you don't, it makes me feel like I'm some stupid ass that should be hung from the highest tree. It's easy to say you'd have no problem with someone who needs it, yet again that brings me to the questions I have asked. Reality strikes again.
  3. ah eating one of those yummy (horrendous) blueberry poptarts.
  4. You can find the deck prisms at Preston's Ships & Seas. Preston's The catalog I have states: In the days before electricity, light below a vessel's deck was limited to candles, oil and kerosene lamps. A clever solution for the light problem was a deck prism. Laid flush into the deck, the prism point drew light down below decks. Hope this answers any questions and where to buy them.
  5. What a terrific idea! You look great too!
  6. In order to avoid the virus you should download Firefox as your browser.
  7. Hmmmm, not sure if I should congradulate you for 'sticking' it to each other for ten years, or just being stuck. But in any case you all make lovely couples.
  8. Your stories are very nice, however this is a Pirate related site, not a Native American site.
  9. I have some too from Joe. I gave one out to someone recently at the Ojai event who was interested in my Celtic needlepoint. Yup, he said it looked just like a baseball trading card!
  10. So tell me, has it gotten your husband a job yet?
  11. As I am telling everyone, DO NOT OPEN ANY EMAILS FROM THE PUB, unless you know what your PM reply looks like and you might be expecting one. Right now I'm not even using PM, and am going to other sites where I know Pub members are and using the PM function there. Yes we are being watched and a disgruntled Pub member is clearly behind it all. I've already sent what info I know the the Managers here at the Pub.
  12. The only way I can get here now is by using Firefox, which we downloaded onto the computer last night.
  13. I believe this site has been infected with a virus. I recieved an email this morning, though I didn't open it, it carried a virus. The email was generated from Pub. I have done everything I can to shut it down. Be forewarned, if you get an email that says it's coming from the Pub and has a link to click on, don't click on it, delete.
  14. As my parrot has been sayin' , YUM YUM!
  15. Well for starters, I'm not married, I'm very, very single, but I do live my guy companion, whom I met years ago when he joined the pirate group we use to be in. Twelve in all. It will be 10 years living together come June 28. I like my freedom, and I don't feel guilty kissing, petting, another guy (sorry no girls have come to me for it yet), but yes I do have my limits...
