Can I ask for one? After the name I was Christened with at PiP 2006 ~ Dangerous Donna

OH! Dear Silkie ~ a sneaky photo of m'self! Now, let's see who will actually recognize me this year ~ All who do must say Hello and Introduce themselves!

Good Afternoon, and Thank You for Your Interest! Presently, I do not have any shoes that are not spoken for. The first order has already been placed ~ I need a minimum of 5 pair per order, or a $10 fee applies per pair. Would there be 3 folk in need of buckle shoes or boots? If so, please do speak up, that Capt H and Blackbeard might get their shoes. YHS, Mary

Update: The distributor informed me my order should be shipped to me today ~ hopefully they will arrive so I can re-pack and send them to each of you before Thanksgiving. If you have any questions, please let me know. YHS, Mary

I am happy to hear you received them so quickly, and they are comfortable for you!

That is a fantastic idea! You may want to speak with William about it ~

What a great video! I am glad you had a fun Halloween ~

Hmmm, I should be able to make such arrangements ~ if needed.

Naw, silly, no offense taken! I know better than that with this group. Just throwing a bit of support out for my fellow gamers. My hubby would be a Halo widower, if he didn't also play, as well as Call of Duty, Battlefield, and anything he can download. But we also play together, inside and out. Just another hobby, says I.

Good evening, Red-Handed Jill! Check received, shoes will go out in the mail tomorrow. Thank you!

Twas my pleasure. I will admit to a certain... hesitancy to allow finely dressed weapon so close to danger, but... you traveled so far, how could I deny you a chance to get your hands dirty. And... DAMN fine pics!!! What sort of camera were you using? I know how hard it can be to get good pics by candlelight, and these are some of the best I've seen. What's your secret? Mmmmm, BlackJohn, you flatter me! I do love being called a weapon ~ or were you thinking woman? No matter, a compliment either way. My sweet little Fuji F31 is responsible for the fine photos. Sorry to disappoint, but it is discontinued, and the replacement camera F50 took a step backwards.

Red-Handed Jill ~ I didn't see a letter from yourself in the mail, I will contact you when I do.

Right. Where were we? After a few days home, I left to attend the Lockhouse event, and am now back, and ready to send in the order for shoes. Any folks interested in placing a last-minute order, please contact myself directly via e-mail (my pm folder is almost full). YHS, Mary

OI! Don't knock it 'til you've tried it ~ we Gamer Geeks take as much offense to name calling as Pirates do. Halo gets my blood up, and is a consistent and reliable outlet for irritation and stress, unlike sporadic events and occasionally moody folk. As Such, You can call me CAPTAIN. And, as to the date comment, my loving Hubby of 10+ years supports me, plays with and/or against me, and takes quite well the fact that I Outrank him (well, at least I did until I went away to Lockhouse for 6 days).

Sorry for the delay, just back from the 15 hour drive to Lockhouse ~ Got mine!

Silkie, dear, it was simply Grand to meet you, and I look forward to seeing you soon at PiP ~ we can continue to practice swordfighting while there. Blackjohn, Thank You for including us in the scenarios ~ I don't think I will soon forget the gentlemen requesting another "chick fight". And, As Requested, PHOTOS! ~ a few of the ones I particularly like, and some of the Events and Atmosphere.

Coming to America for A Pirate Event
Mary Diamond replied to Gentleman of Fortune's topic in Scuttlebutt
Well, I have been to PiP 2006, Port Washington Pirate Festival, Pirates of Paynestown, Pike River Rendevous, and am preparing even as we speak for Lockhouse ~ At present, I would recommend PiP for the following reasons: Easily accessible for out-of-country folk (Tampa, Miami, or KW airports). Lots to see and do as a starting point (Florida Keys, PiP, Dry Tortugas, Miami, Orlando/Disney, Everglades). Other than Port Washington, I believe PiP will have the largest gathering of re-enactors and entertainers, as compared to what I saw at the other events this year. -
AHOY! Just back from our favorite adopted Pirate Island (Literally ~ we just walked in the door about 40 minutes ago) ~ Key West ~ Met up with Barnacle Beau of Bone Island Buccaneers (who we met last year at PiP), and Nicki Wilson of the Fairvilla Megastore ~ they are supporting and REALLY EXCITED about PiP this year! Also saw and spoke with Tiger Lee ~ I think I caught him a bit off guard, as I approached and addressed him by name. We stayed at the Radisson on Key West for 2 nights (a quick jaunt down from Tampa after Hubby's work conference) ~ the Radisson Management are Willing to Hand out Flyers for PiP! Also very Exciting (though a bit Saddening, as well) was the discovery of a HOME DEPOT on US-1, just before the split, in Key West, as well as an Ace Hardware, for anyone in a materials or tools pinch. We also took the opportunity to visit Pat Croce's Pirate Soul Museum and Mel Fisher's Maritime Museum ~ I enjoyed both (if you visit, it shouldn't take more than 3 hours to visit both, reading every placard). I think there was more I wanted to share ~ but my travel-addled brain is distracted by the smell of fresh hot pizza from the oven, and the sounds of the Dread Pirate Roberts and Princess Bride drifting upstairs ~ mmmm, must go. More later, if anything surfaces ~

Ah, a mere 14 hours later, and my dear Husband and I are back home. Thank you, indeed, Cheeky, for your excellent "real-world" report! And I am glad you are happy with your shoes, as well, Salty ~ I will be contacting you privately shortly. All interested parties ~ if you would be so kind as to contact me by Sunday evening, I would be most appreciative. I will be out of town, and, therefore, unavailable again, Thursday, November 1 through Tuesday, November 6. YHS, Mary Diamond

I just received the Pricing for the Ladies 1 1/2" heel Boot ~ these will be available for $70. YHS, Mary

Such a stir! Though I am glad people are passionate about their hobby ~ While at PiP last year, I first heard a term, which to me best describes the purple satin and silver skulls crowd ~ Polyester Pirates.

Mary Diamond replied to William Brand's topic in Fort Taylor
OH! Such FANTASTIC news! Thank you so much, Hurricane, for the Update. Looking forward to hearing more ~ -
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE ~ I must humbly request all Future Correspondence be sent via e-mail. The sheer number of Inquiries hath swamped my PM account here at the Pub! YHS, Mary

Mister Carter, I look forward to hearing from you ~
