i said it was interesting.... ....sheeesh...... .....i just didna know all those folks down on 8 mile(thats in D-troit not he bridge) were pyrates tooo... ....i just wonder what they would do if i showed up and hoisted me colours... .....murder capital of the world....plus one.... What I was trying to say (I should have written out in more detail, Sorry!) is I know a lot of people are agonizing over pc detail for PiP at this moment (myself included) and I wanted to take a moment to point out that there will be ALL Kinds of Pirates there. This is a FUN event! Don't let the little stuff drive you nuts ~ just get there and have a great time!

Remember, PiP hosts all kinds of pirates, varying degrees of pc (some just want to have fun!). This is Key West, mate, not St. Mary's!

One of my favorites characters from PiP ~ Oreo, the piebald raven. Oreo's home Oreo, What does a Pirate say? http://s154.photobucket.com/albums/s247/gr...nt=MVI_2394.flv

The parade is a blast, and considerably larger than Port Washington (just for reference, as that is the only parade Maddogge and I have been in together!). The streets are packed, lots of people attending, floats and walkers, and the crowd is great ~ Here are a few photos from PiP 2006, to whet everyones appetite! Not a very good pic of the parade, but a pic, nonetheless ~ Hey! who is that handsome devil on the left? Portside Tom and Bawdy Be aboard the Wolf Sunset Sail ~ 2 of the REALLY NICE PEOPLE you can look forward to meeting at PiP Drinks, shanties, and storytelling in the Fort afterhours ~

it was a "rooster" not a pulacki (lil bird)....and the water was DAMN COLD!!!!..... and besides...HUSH UP WOMEN YOU NOT EVEN GOIN!!!!!

Thank you, Cascabel! Would a hand-painted canvas banner be ok? I must be insane, considering how much I still have to do, but I may be able to pull something simple together ~ or, at least, bring the materials with to PiP for completion. Alternatively, if anyone has sign-shop connections ~ I recreated the PiP logo for Harry earlier this fall. It can be blown up to any size ~ at 36" high, it is about 45" wide, though the black background can be extended for full bleed.

William ~ Has PiP reserved a spot in the Holiday Parade? (I really hope so! It was a blast last year, but the pirates got split up ~ we kinda made room for ourselves, as it were.) If So: Is there anything needed for the parade, such as a banner, etcetera? Is there a planned gathering place, and at what time? Can/should crewes bring their own flags? Anything else? If Not: Is it too late? Show of Hands ~ Who is interested? I already have my beads bought! Thanks!

First thing that comes to mind to obtain... cooking gear.. two spits, two tripods, three large dutch ovens with lids, one large kettle for boiling water, one iron grate and two frying pans.... This stuff is heavy to transport, so if the fort could either invest in cooking gear or would hold it for all of us if we contributed... that would be one major coup. Perhaps, if a few people are driving in, each might bring a few pieces to lighten the burden? Mark, Yak and I are driving from Miami ~ if there is a place on the way to pick up cast iron, we could grab a pot or 2.

Hmmm, I came across Tiger Lee at Fantasy Fest a few weeks ago ~ perhaps he is recovering? LOVE the button !
-
BILGEMUNKY!! How did I miss your attendance? I am happy you are coming ~ look forward to seeing you again! Perhaps you are bringing some fun music? Music that I can wildly dance to?
-
Rumba, you Saucy Pyrate! You look FANTASTIC!

Do keep us posted! I hope things work out ok so you can still attend ~ I will happily pay for whatever powder I use ~ shouldn't need too much for my Queen Anne's. Thank you!
-
A Happy Thanksgiving to all! My gratitude to all the men and women working over the holidays ~ Soldiers, firefighters, police, doctors and nurses, not to mention all the everyday folk like you and me who keep things running in the background.
-
!! With Callenish withdrawing his attendance last evening, it seems we are in need of a Powder Supply again? Anyone capable of filling the need? (also posted in Black Power... Of Need and Transport)

Mmmmmmm.... BOOM! Now THAT was a rush ~ kicked like a mule, though! Between that and the swordfighting, my shoulder was ready to disown me ~ Thank you, Cheeky!
-
Owwee Owwee Owwee (giggle giggle giggle LAUGHTER!) So much fun fighting with you! Here's to Broken Busks and Laughter ~
-
Yes, I did notice that as well ~ Nothing to See Here, Nothing to See... Until we meet again...

Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow! Gosh, Cheeky really beat me up that weekend. First the "chick fight", then braining me with the spoon, and then skewering me with MY OWN SWORD! Ouch ~ Great photos, Silkie!
-
NOTICE to ALL Men-Folk ~ I would like to humbly request, on behalf of myself and other like-minded ladies, that we be included in the scenarios! Silkie and myself are working on some ideas for ourselves, to be posted when ironed out ~ which will potentially require significant Male interaction. OI! I saw your eye's glazing over! Pull your mind out of the gutter! Interested Pirates, Hunters and Reds may State Interest Here.

Most Gracious of you, William! Having just consumed my daily ration, I look forward to remaining in good standing with the Honorable Wetlanders.

Dear William, you do recall my unabashed delight when you mentioned you would be cooking Bacon at PiP, correct? Now, if I can only count on some eggs, maybe a tomato on the side, and an ice cold Pepsi ~ well, my breakfast routine would be complete!
