  1. Good Evening, All!

Captain Bo, I am most honored to serve ~ I will contact you for sizes and shipping information.

Captain Sophia ~ Thank you for your kind commendation! It is much appreciated.

A Note to All Considering Shoe Purchases ~ this is a busy time, and the shoes will be once again in short supply. Please keep this in mind!

I will be placing a large order with the distributor next week ~ Please contact me before Thursday, October 16, to be included in this order. As a reminder, orders are placed only when there is sufficient quantity, due to increased shipping charges. If you have any questions, please do contact me via e-mail.

    As ever, I remain

    YHS,

    Mary Diamond

  2. Ah, now, you see, Goode Ladies and Gents, you are missing the point (and opportunity) altogether.

Kate, you need merely attend Port Washington once a year (Monsoon Season in Wisconsin), and break down camp whilst in your stays. Guaranteed, you will be soaked to the boning ~

Alternatively, you may choose the PiP method M.A.d'Dogge has been keeping secret ~ the Walk the Plank competition, and rescuing shipwrecked crewemates ~ saltwater does a top notch job ~ just ask the Captain!

  3. Fantastic News!

Yes, owning a home will be a whole new experience. Other than having children (and playing pirate), there are few other ways to so efficiently decimate your savings. However, the up-side is well worth the learning curves ~

To that end, you may want to consider Lumber Liquidators for flooring. You can purchase solid Bamboo flooring for as little as $2.19 per square foot. Installation (glue or nail - rent the nailer from Home Depot) is pretty easy, but you can also sub-contract it out, if you like. We installed Bamboo ourselves in 2/3 of our home, and really love it.

    Congratulations again!

  4. Oh! Goodness, my dear Lady B, I am so sorry I missed your post! (Hmmm, wondering why it did not show up in my e-mail bucket...)

I personally own the 1.5" heel Boots ~ they are simply lovely, but do tend to slouch due to gravity. I am fairly certain the boots won't work for your calf at normal height. If you wear them slouched, that might allow enough room for comfort. Unfortunately, returns and exchanges with this company are simply nauseating ~

Next time we see each other, I will show you my boots ~ perhaps that will help with the decision making process. Having seen both, I can honestly say the shorter heel (1.5") is a much, MUCH better looking boot. However, it is also significantly more expensive this year - $100 for the 1.5" boot in leather, versus $65 for the 2.5" heel leather boot. Keep in mind, also, your foot size ~ if you have difficulty with a restrictive shoe (such as a cowboy boot), you may have difficulty getting into the 1.5" boot, as it is more fitted to the foot. Not to mention that the 1.5" heel is sold out in size 10, and at low stock in size 11.

Regarding the higher heeled buckle shoes ~ they are available, priced at $40. Let me know if you require an image posted.

  5. Well Done and Most Grateful I am for all you hard work, Stynky ~ the Pub is such a wonderful resource, and I am happy you have resurrected it.

Count on a Fyne Rum for yourself, next time we meet.

    YHS,

    Mary Diamond

  6. Good Morning, Ol Jack~

Happily, the price is one thing that hasn't changed. The price is still $35, I ask only to be reimbursed what it costs me to send them to you via USPS, which is dependant upon shoe size and distance.

    YHS,

    Mary Diamond

  7. Good Evening!

A brief note before I dash off again ~ Shoes are once again available!

Due to my hectic summer schedule, and astonishing increases in all things affected by gas prices, I must limit outgoing orders to bulk orders only. Individual orders will be grouped with larger orders.

I will attempt to go through my piles of e-mail to locate all those who expressed interest ~ however, should you fall into that category, I would welcome a reminder e-mail, if you be reading this missive.

Keep in mind that I leave my PM folder full ~ PLEASE contact me via e-mail should you be interested in the shoes.

    Have a good week!

  8. Just popping in for a bit to say Hi and let you know I am thinking about you ~

You are an amazing woman, handling all you have been through!

Thanks for keeping us posted on your status ~ keep up the good spirits!

  9. So very happy to hear the initial foray went well ~ please know you are in our thoughts!

It was wonderful seeing you again, and thanks so much for keeping an eye on the tavern while we were away ~ your thoughtfulness is deeply appreciated!

  10. I would personally love to expand on the Dressing the 18th Century Lady demo that Cheeky and I did the last day at Port Washington. Though the weather was uncooperative, we did have a few attentive viewers (males as well!) who stayed through the entire demo, even asking questions.

If it came to it, this could even be performed as a one person demo ~ I think it would be great fun to shanghai a young lady into my service. Hmmm... I might even keep her.

  11.

I do so Love your sense of humor, Mission dear!

Perhaps in an attempt to make good with the local officers, we need an officer at the Fort, or at the start of the parade, to do weapons checks. Approved weapons could be peace tied with a wide (1"), easily visible (from, say 20') piece of ribbon.

    Thoughts?
