Who said anything about "Fighting" with an eyepatch on folks? It would make sense for nightvision yes. But unless those of you forget to separate your fact from fantasy, there weren't epic sword duels everyday.... so to say that it wouldn't work for a fight is a moot point.

PirateSSe... Technically speaking, not to knock your idea, etc... Fans Don't Matter. I don't necessarily mean that in regards to PotC, I mean that for all fandoms. Oh sure writers and stars and execs love that fan clubs, costuming clubs, etc all crop up. But in the long run... other than voting with your dollar... The Higher Ups will always find a way to stick the cutlass in you and twist. Star Trek... sure fans helped bring the original show back... but how were they rewarded? With Enterprise. Enough said. Do you think George Lucas gives a damn about his fans? The prequels are enough to say he doesn't. Firefly... sure fan support got a movie, but not much more beyond that. Farscape? A miniseries but otherwise that show was scuttled... Stargate SG-1... don't get me started. But back to my original point. Fan input just doesn't always matter. Sure maybe PotC is different. And maybe they just want to make money. I can't say one way or the other. So if you want to see your Mary Sue come alive, they start working on it. But don't expect to see her on the silver screen anytime soon.

Arr... Just in time for PirateMas, Zizzle has released more of their 3 3/4" figures. At me local ports O' Call I have found Final Duel Jack, Final Duel Will, Ragetti, and Barbossa. Th' Jack and Will are just coatless and in a fightin' pose. Barbossa is pretty cool lookin' and Ragetti comes with Davy Joneses' chest and key. Now my Pintel shall never be alone! On a somewhat related note those of you into MegaBloks Pyrates or the MegaBloks PotC, TRU has 40% off all MegaBloks. So you too can get th' Black Pearl for around $24. It probably lasts until next Sunday.

That was by far the saddest faire I've ever been to. Oh don't get me wrong... great performers/reinactors. Great shows. Vendors need to be upgraded a bit... and tickets downgraded. $12? Are you Frakking kidding me? Hoggetowne is about that much and you can fit the pirate faire in half of an auxillary parking lot. It was a $5 or $6 faire tops.

I'll be there in civvies as I'm supposed to go for my job and try to get people to carry the bosses merchandise... oy.

Well I wouldn't put too much faith in that review honestly. While I do not doubt that Pirates of the Great Salt Lake is a good movie... a lot of things submitted to NQG are by people connected... plus they have been known to be wrong with some things.

I got a subscription, first issue came within a week. Layout is nice. Could do without the cards in it. Could use more articles too. It was a bit annoying to have reprints of 2 articles from NQG that I've read too many times before too...

I don't know... it sounds kind of cool. Disneyland has 1 park, smallish. So they have to change things to try to attract visitors. Disneyworld has 4 parks, all big. They change things... some for the better, some worse. Like changing the Alien Encounter to make it more friendly and adding Stitch? eh...

Way to go Wizkids! I bought a... ur, "ship"load of Spanish Main. About as much Crimson Coast and Revolution. Barbary Coast less than 10 packs. Jade less than that. Davy Jones... only about 5. It's just failing to keep my attention. I love the game. But their ever lovin' desire to keep pumping shite out is astounding! They need to make a companion game about the pirates themselves ala Hero or Horror clix.

If it's any good news, we have gotten the Historicals to relax a lot more at the raids and start enjoying themselves. Now if only we could work on their Hens... lol.

Twas plunderin up th' Eastern seaboard a few weeks back an in S.C. I found wave 2 of the Zizzle Potc2 3 3/4 action figures. Seems it's Cannibal Jack, Cannibal, and Norrington. I grabbed the Norrington since that's the only 1 I cared for.
