Well... I was planning to go to GARF in May... but... a family emergency has cancelled my plans of going anywhere this year. So.. have extra fun in my stead. & don't forget to say hello to Jack... & of course Barbossa.. well .. both of them actually.
-
A tad delayed... but wishing ya the best there, Redd! Happy Bday, mate! May there be much swag to add to your treasure! & barrels of rum for you!
-
Aye! So I heard from the fantastic Captain. :) Still awaiting a good report from CostumeCon from him. As well as photos. Please... inform us more about what happened!
-
I'm... just gonna sit here.. watch... be delighted but the imagine in my demented mind of all this madness. :::evil grinz::: Have at 'em, Bess.

ROTFLMAO! :::In tears::::Ooooooh, my... hehehehe.. What a hoot & a riot. Careful with the mounting, as horrible as that sounds.. ::Winces:: So much for the movie casting calls. We've our own little casting call here & fun party. I'm with Black Hearted Pearl there.. but then again... I'd do one of 2 things... cringe & run... or gasp, pass out, wake up & give the gent a blue ribbon!

Calling all Pirates! Need Help if ye can
LadyBarbossa replied to CaptJackSparrow's topic in Thieves Market
Indeed will do, m'friend. -
Don't feel bad, Paisley... I doubt anyone can be as horrible as my Regt Commander (Rev War).. who is not able to show up to camp until somewhere between 1am - 3 pm in the morning! So... guess who is there first off! Let me tell ya... putting up a tent at 3 in the morning, & unloading TONS of gear & equipment in the dark is a most interesting experience! :)

Wine? Lots of wine, says you? Awwww.... tis a pity that I couldn't have been there, says I. Glad t' know you all had a fantastic time!

Calling all Pirates! Need Help if ye can

A good question there, m' friend. Not sure either where to get ahold of the material either. I've only seen one person able to find the material. & more than likely, it's not available any more in the vast majority of fabric stores which I have noticed to only carry a type of fabric for a spell then discontinue it. Silly & sad I know. Most fabric stores I have gone to were not that helpful either. ::le sigh:: goes to show how much fun it is to live in a poduck unintelligent city. Again.. I wish ya luck. -
Same thoughts here as well, Enigma! For something that may not be liscensed by Disney... it's pretty good. It's PotC swag.. so.. who's to argue? Now.. if it were Barbossa.. I'd be whimperin' & buying it in a heartbeat! :::innocent look:::
-
Aye... insane to be exact. Now.. the issue is would they learn from the mistake as George Washington did? He was most likely not apt to make the same mistake again after learning from the first. Still.. there is a market... a great one .. for PotC Merchandise... if some were released today.. I guarantee, it would still sell! I'm not kidding. I know a few friends of my nephew would love to have some stuff.. be it action figures.. or the cursed coin.. maybe swords or pistols... costumes... people still begging for a novelization - other than the junior version - of the movie. More shirts.... replicas of the coins... props... Even I was drooling over the Barbossa ring that was sold in the fall... was rather bummed.. still am... rather expensive piece, considering it started off in the auction at $800 & ended in the auction at over $3,000! Ouch! Not even Tavington's uniform cost that much! & I know someone who bought the Tavington uniform for around $700! Insane that a good majority of the stuff was scrapped. Silly gooses! PotC swag.. scattered all about like the cursed Aztec gold... in private hands. ::le sigh:: I admit.. I still wish I was able to get that ring. Would be awesome to be at the Rev War re-enactments with the Barbossa ring, the sword & pistol... & the great thing is.. I can get away with using them! ::dances around:: ::evil grinz:: One can only hope that things will improve. Again... still a market out there for PotC stuff... I even heard it on the radio the other morning when they mentioned celebrity Bdays... it was Keira Knightley's Bday... turning 19th, Happy Bday to the young lady! ... that the 2 radio personalities here in CR just LOVE the movie! It's one of their favs! So.. yeah.. there is still a market!

HUZZAH! to ya, Red Bess! Many more Birthdays for ya... much plunder in your treasure & ... whatever you want, may you get it. One way or another. :: evil grinz::

Aye! Looks like tons o' fun, Paisley! Makes on wish t' be there. :)
-
Alas... doubt I will be there Memorial Weekend. But I will be there the weekend of May 8th & 9th. Celebrate my birthday in style & lots of fun... & with Jack & Barbossa! As well as a few others on Jack's forum. Can't beat that! So... if anyone be going that weekend.. will see ya there. If fate loves me... who knows... may go Memorial weekend as well.. But.. doubt it... there is a re-enactment that weekend at Vincenes, IN too, so... may be at that... :::knocks on the wood of the Black Pearl::: Anastazia

Can't wait to see this short film, Elaina. I've to wait for the newer comp to get 'better' before I can. Amazing when the older comp works better than a newer one. But.. I'm with ya there on the rum! Either that or when you are just having too much fun! Are the same gents who did that short film thinking of more PotC fan films? I hope so... talk 'em into it.. There is a fair size group of people out there dying to see fan films. :) I've seen a few good ideas out there that would make some good films. Anyway.... Yeah! Outtakes! If ya got more.. would LOVE to see them! :) Now... did you do the same 'gluck-gluck' fowl up of the lines? Rather funny when Keira did that.

Yeah.. I can see how that's a serious mess. ::pets:: poor Bess. Lads.. Ladies... I think that Bess needs some serious fun time. I'd do m'self.. however, I be in Podunk Iowa (Cedar Rapids).. in which intelligent life here does not really exist. ((ie, spending millions on oddball art to decorate the downtown when it could have been used to fix streets, police dept, etc... again, NO intelligent life.)) As to the perfume... :: nods:: I'm with you there. Emerald.. nots sure if anyone will endorse or back what I will suggest here. But I've been reading.. studying.. whatever you call it... a book titled "Hollywood, here I come!" by Cynthia Hunter. Rather helpful hints about the entertainment business & LOTS of information about how to get into places, what to do, what not to do, forms, numbers, addresses, etc... it's like some mini-bible.. I adore it. I'm trying to do some of the stuff in there, slowly though since I'm po'! But... I recomend the book.. .it does tell you not one way but a couple ways of getting into SAG if not other guilds as well. Tough business... but bloody hell... I'm bound & determined myself... :) Especially after this past year of re-enacting & such.. that's been highly encouraging. What can I say.... the people loved it (or as I am told) when I 'slit the throat' of a Continental soldier picketing at guard post duty. Silly... since I am a Continental, but they needed a Brit Loyalist... was fun anyway. As well as the "fun" with a Highlander! WOO-HOO! :) Bess.. tell the gents next when you see them.. I've got faith in them. Despite I know a couple people who are rather hesitant. ::Has smacked them already::: & yes.. they deserved it. :: evil grinz:: Anastazia

:::tosses Elaina rum::: Bold, missy.. VERY bold!

Hmm... do we need to come out there & kidnap them or pester them like we were their mothers? The sad thing is.. even I have been asked a couple times about the sequel. People obviously eager for it. Kinda funny when I'm the one who LOVES the movie & I am more patient than the mild fans or non-fans. Wannabe's & pilot casting?! Dare I ask? Or is that information that if you told me you would have to kill me? & thanks for the recipe idea.... will have to try that... sometime. When.. don't know. For some reason... Robert Newton in Treasure Island pops into mind when he feeds Plum Duff to the future victum. :) Love that scene. Anastazia

All hail the great & powerful Bess! :: Smoke bellows; standing with spontoon:: Well... Johnny being Johnny.. 'nough said! Guys feeling a tad strained there, Bess? Maybe you need to get them out to some fest somewhere & have a little fun with them. :: evil grinz:: Either that or have Tortuga Rum Cake shipped in. Blame it on Captn Morgan... he got me hooked on that lovely delight of a dessert. ::: whimpers; melts::: Cake that even Jack would wolf down cause it's THAT delightful! It's sinful! Hope the gents are doing well, Bess. Anastazia

Aye... I'm with ya there. Bleachers are either freezing or boiling hot depending on the season. Not to my fancy. My dad really has no obsession. Just a hobby of making knives.. last I knew. Does a fantastic job, too. I've asked him to make me a couple. Wish he could make me a sword, but he won't. He thinks me a tad silly with wanting to do re-enacting. The one line that he & Swann most have in common with ... was galavanting all over the country! Be it chasing pirates or anything else. But... it's the look on people's face that is the greatest... next to the sound of a cannon 'round about 10 yards beside ya! YEEEAAAAHHHHHH!!! Anastazia

Not to mess you up further... but that's his nick upon here & his forum - Capt'n Jack Sparrow For more, check out his site: Capt'n Jack Sparrow's Master's Quarters He's truly a fantastic gent! Lemme see.... he posted in el Pirata's thread as well.... playin' around with the sword bit. He's been around Barbossa too much. Not that that's a bad thing.. it's bloody hilarious!
-
LOL... Aww.. how sweet! Raiding m'waters! Wouldn't mid havin' y'all up 'round these here parts. Iffn ya dare to be bored out o' your bloody damn minds! My dad would be the complete opposite... he'd think me insane. "Yes, we know that one, anything else?" to qoute Barbossa himself. But.. still. I have to say, I relate to Elizabeth on the level of boring fathers. My dad is much like him in a couple ways. Scarey. Nay.... if I go.. I'd go alone just to have fun with all. Well.. besides I would kidnap Morgan & whoever else. But... alas... again.. I am stuck here... perhaps.. next time. Or join us for Morgan's BIG welcome home party at the Tall Ships fest in 2005! Who knows what other places I will go to. I do plan to join Jack & Barbossa & a few other people down at GARF the weekend of May 8th & 9th.. so, perhaps some people will get the chance to see me. Anastazia
