Since we're talking about skirmishes, we should touch base on the cold, hard facts where steel is concerned... IE the hanger vs. banger discussion. This is where I'm hoping that MD will chime in and cover this.. But if he's sleeping, I'll come back and go over it.... You out there Mad Dog???!!!

Now don't get me wrong.... I have watched it a couple times or had it playing in the background while working on SH-tuff. It's well worth the price I paid and I would probably watch it again, since there is worse out there!!

damn... Though mine is still my original bandanna from my 1st wild west reenactment in 92... 1990 has got me beat!!!

Yer a keeper Bloody Mad Jack! Damn glad to see we think a like!!! And the truth be told... No one could afford what I would expect! However there are a few venues which I would simply add onto!!! I'll go through and post a few pics when I get a chance or feel inthusiastic!! However I would listen to the suggestions from the reenactors for both safety and also productivity. Then I would actually compensate their efforts!!! Yes I would pay them!!! Regardless of weather it's meals, gas money or a weekend rate..... Let's face it, with GAoP there really isn't a huge cast needed. And therefore I would also pay as to the part played and the experience of said individual. Especially if I had folks driving from state to state, I would at least compensate their travel, depending on what they brought to the table. I would also offer them onsite camping and or location housing, within the site.

I couldn't agree more!! When 1st diving into the GAoP, I couldn't help but want the long coatn such. But now I easily prefer the short sailor's jack and a good pair of slops... Especially during the summer!!!

OK here's where I'll say I could care less that it's wasn't perfectly PC or even PFC. But for about six bucks I picked up the Blackbeard miniseries at Wallyworld.. That's about three hours of pirate Sh-tuff for the price of lunch!! A nice change from Jack Sparrow!

The site for the indoor gathering would be held on two floors (Possibly a third now depending of the size of the group and if we decide to open this up to the public) of a historic, (yet no longer in use) church in downtown Milwaukee. I also believe it's located on the UW campus!! I'll get some pics going in a minute or two! The timeframe however remains open until the specifics and an accord is reached by our crew and the site coordinators. After all, why go through the effort if your own mates can't be there?! R

Thanks Rumba! That whole weekend was a lot of fun. And the weather was as it looks... from one extreme to another! I'm still wondering about Captain McCrary's injury!!!??? But that's really why we do this kind of thing! (We're all actually just big kids having fun anyway!!) But when folks can enjoy a pic or a presentation, that's when we get our reward!!
