  1. I work with mentally ill patients who also have...shall we say.....behavioral issues. Someone is always trying to bite, kick, punch, scratch, or headbutt me. Never the same day twice.

Sounds like the Team Disney Building.

Well then, that pretty much says it all, doesn't it? Is that one of the reasons why the cost of a movie ticket is so great? Is it because we are paying for their meds as well as their assistant care?

  2. Rats said, "Besides... I let you wear the haltertop... So I get to wear the boots!!!"

Okay guys, I'll let you barrow the stuff...as long as you can fit into a size 6 shoe and a size 10 jacket!

  3. I finally found a great reseach source for those looking for further detail on the history of Mourning during the mid to late 17th Century.

Mourning Dress: A Costume and Social History (Hardcover)

    by Lou Taylor

    Out of Print--Limited Availability.

    Hardcover: 327 pages

    Publisher: Unwin Hyman (August 1983)

    Language: English

    ISBN-10: 0047460164

    ISBN-13: 978-0047460166

Though this book is hard to find (check your local library) it is a wonderful resource for how the dress and mourning practices for our time period. Very enlightening and informative.

    I highly recommend it.

  4. I apologize for the lateness of this greeting. Captain Spike…welcome back to the Pub. We all here missed you and hope that life is better and brighter for you.

Looking forward to seeing you again at Blackbeard’s this June. All the best!

  5. Mission is, too, a GROWNUP! Mission is an ADULT!! GROWNUP ..... GROWNUP ......Everybody chant ..... GROWNUP, GROAN UP !!

;);););) Huh? I'm only tree and a half years old.

Good God Please....embrace your inner child, will ya! It's healthier for you...

But don't get too carried away...or we'll have to call the cops!

  6. Thanks to RustyNells website link...I've taken the bull by the horns (again). I'm down 6 pounds from last Saturday and going back to the gym.

I'm right there with you regarding those darn hormones, Rusty...but I realize that the body isn't the same as it was in my mid-thirtys. I know that breakfast is a must...where as in my 20s it wasn't such a big deal.

We'll have to see. I need to loose about 20 by June 5! I will be trying to manage my weight with muscel training too.

  7. And why should she change her appearence? She's who she is...let her talent show them all.

One of the biggest things I despise about Simon Cowell and his “star” mentality is that when someone shows up for an audition, he ALWAYS judges their appearance.

“Right, lovely voice, but you could loose a few pounds, Let's start with 50, shall we?” Or “Have you ever looked in a mirror lately? I suggest you do something…and quickly.” That’s just cold! Hollywood is to blame for the superficial appearance of looks/fashion/and the social norm.

What really got to me was the obvious smirks, eye-rolling and the condescending tone (from ALL THREE Judges upon that English panel) that really frosted me.

Then there was the critical moment, when the three of them sat back in amazement, sitting there with their mouths wide open, slack jawed and dumbfounded at the talent from this 47 year old women from Scotland.

As so many of you have said it here; she showed her true self and damn them all for judging her in the first place! Brava!
