  7. It's interesting to me that the top causes of murders are over tangible possesions such as, Drugs, Money, women/men/spouse, and cars. but a belief or intangible idea can cause genocide. Strange 'ol world idn't it?

  11. I tend to agree with RumbaRue, why would a master artist place such ambiguity into a key persona? Unless ambiguity was was the intent. Gee, could there be more than one story involved here? ( Insert ambiguity here). Now, don't get me wrong, I profess to be a Christian, but i've never taken anything at face value. Too many variables exist when mankind gets involved. Add money and political influence as well and the best intentions go down the crapper. For example, the Califiornia state lottery, it's good for our schools. Yea, right. If the money promised by this lottery actualy went to our schools, lunches would be free, a laptop computer could be issued to all students entering Jr. High and the teachers would be paid what they're worth. I belive the intention was good, but start adding millons of dollars and see what happens. Sorry about the rambling....

  14. I guess I'll eventually see it, but on DVD more likely than not. It seems like I'm in the mainstream of thought here, that if a movie could shake the foundation of your religion, maybe there was a problem with either your faith or religion to begin with? Any group that attempts to deny me the ability to "see for myself" is a big red flag to run. Oh yea, I like Tom Hanks as well, this just isn't really my genre of movie.

  16. Dang it! I knew it, I knew it..........HA I don't know how you feel about it, but you were male in your last earthly incarnation. You were born somewhere in the territory of modern New York City around the year 1946. Your profession was that of a Cab Driver, get over it! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your brief psychological profile in your past life: You were a freekin Cab Diver, psychological profile, who cares? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The lesson that your last past life brought to your present incarnation: You invented the little donut thingy to ease the pain of your hemroids, and that was only by mistake, that's about it Einstine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do you remember now? Do you really want to?

  18. Google search looking for pirate entertainment and theatrical supplies, then the lights went out and I awoke here, with a splitting headache
  19. I think the main concern with the use of an open flame below deck is the reson this wouldn't have been too common. In alot of the articals I've read, it was a flogging offence to have a candel or uncovered pipe below deck. Peticularly around the powder stores. The lighter, more fine priming powder was known to seep through barrels and canvas and hang in the air like dust. I know anyone working in the powder magazine wore felt slippers and used copper knives and picks to avoid static sparks. Thoe holds must have been a pain to move around in.
  20. Bluing is a fine period choice for rust abatement, it was used back as early the middle ages to slow rust on armor and weapons alike (hence the term "Black Knight". I have a 1911 colt that was browned and this was done by oil-quenching the metal rather than water-quenching during the bluing process. My personal prefrence is to blue and let wear and tear take its toll.
