We are busy getting ready. We are in Kissimmee and we just picked our rental. Getting ready to start packing the cars up. We'll be there around 9 or 10am tomorrow. Can't wait, I'm hoping we can get some electricity I need to have access for the camera gear to keep the batts charged. PS I should have internet access when we get there. So we can post pictures too.

I was thinking that you and your crew was busy doing the Duval crawl already.

So to prevent further hijacking the black power thread, I've started this one. I will give me Muther a call later today and see what they are planning on bringing. Both in cookware and in food. I think we'll have enough eating utensils for our group of 7. So lets move this discussion here and continue planning. I'll be back soon, they're getting Thanksgiving dinner ready. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! (Edited because I not so smart)

We've got a tripod/ spit, a dutch oven, and a pot of some sort. So we'll have some stuff with us. My mom was able to purchase a cooking kit from the blacksmith in Westville, but that will be staying by the careening camp. So the Archangel crew would probably need something of their own.

Me parents will be bringing some food down for the lot of us. Not sure if we can feed everyone but we'll have vittles for sure. They've got their own chickens and gather several dozen eggs every day. Their also planning on making some "chicken 'n dumplings" and venison stew. My dad just downed 2 deer already this season and hes turned about 9 pounds (precooked weight) into jerky. So we gots some food, make no mistake. Pat you are certainly welcome to join in. Besides my dad likes hes coffee in the mornings too.

I'm bringing a few extension cords myself. I'm also bringing my lighting kit for any video shooting we might need it for. So having power nearby will be helpful.

"Seabooger" Was a name given to me by the gracious crew that belong to Hurricane. I think it might work. Ehh?

Jack Roberts replied to William Brand's topic in Fort Taylor
Awww... Pat, did you get some spit on the fancy capt'n's coat? -

Keep an eye on the weather reports. It could be warm or it could be cold. I know I'll keep a weather eye out. (Pun indented )

Got mine from Jas Townsend. You could try here, Hats by Leko . The capeline is what you would want to use for a "tricorn". I haven't order from them yet but they do have a few more colors than most. You could give them a try. A 7 inch brim would make a huge hat! I haven't found anyone with that size.

My parents have bought an open fire cooking kit out iron. She is planning on bringing some chicken 'n dumpings, and beef stew. We probably won't have enough for everyone, that would be alot of people. Still we will plan on bringing what you mentioned. It would always be appreciated.

Sorry I've been swamped with work the past month & half. I'm still in the middle of a busy time for me. I will see what I can do. I will probably use the songs off of your list Silke. I still have to make another tent and more clothes for the family and such. So we'll see what happens. Sorry again for not keeping on top of this. I'm really excited for PiP this year.

Well perhaps not "fine" in the terms of the upper class of the time. Maybe certain pieces were in better condition. Just my 2 cents.

"Well sir, me name be Jack... Jack Roberts." "I've served on several ships since I was lad. In various roles aboard. I've helped with a gun a time or two and can run up the ratlines with best of 'em." My mind was racing for anything of my previous experience. Being in this rat hole has clouded my thoughts. I didn't want trust the Capn't with all of me secrets just yet. "You see I've really just helped were it was needed. Just put me anywere, 'cept the cookin." I leaned in closer "You see I never been good at the cookin, there Capt'n." I said, cracking a smile. "I certainly hope to be of service to you sir?"

"...No worthy man will be turned away if he may show cause that he is able and willing to join with us. If there should be more of you wishing to join than I am able to free from this place." decreed a man. I woke to hear just the trailing end of the spiel. "What he'd say he was here for?" I asked a cell mate of mine, rising to the cell door. "He's lookin for some someone to go sailin with him and he's crew." rasped the old man beside me. "Looks like you won't have to stay vera long after all, ehh?" "No I suppose not." I replied as I waved my hand through bars, grasping for this Captain's attention. "Well good turn of luck." I thought to meself.

I forgot to add my Sister in Law, Jana. She will be staying with me and my wife in our tent. Chalk one more up.

My parents are trying to create a new account. When they go to register they get the message, The board administrator is no longer accepting any new registrations at the moment. Any word on when they can get registered? Thanks!

I would like to have something for the Pub, after hours. Then possibly have something playing around the camp too. Although I didn't realize that we had stage acts this year. That pretty cool. If you have a list that you wouldn't mind having others play along, post it here. Thanks!

I wanted to start getting better organized with this. I will admit I'm a bit ignorant when it comes to the songs that are periodish. So does anyone have a set list, with the keys, that they already know? Then I could hunt down the music and post it here so others can learn it. I play a few tunes on a tin whistle and play harmonica (not period) and sax (also not period). My sister has been taking fiddle lesson. for a couple of years. If I can get her a list of songs to practice, she will be able to play them at PiP. So where are the musicians?

Yeah! Thanks for the positive replies. So William, count my family in too. Robert (My Dad) Nea (My Mom) Abby (Sister 1) Emma (Sister 2) They are trying to borrow a period tent from some friends, so I'll give you more word on that. PS Is there modern camping at the fort? I can't seem to remember. Might be a backup option if they can't get a canvas tent.
