I started at Disneyland in 1970. Worked in the park for about 15 years then transfered to the Studio. How did I get my present job? I am one of the few people that (1) isn't start struck (2) can take what they give and and return it without them knowing they have been insulted (3) I'm good to them and they know it (4) there is NO position at any other Studio like this one where they ARE taken care of by people outside of their own and (5) no one else in their right mind wants the job.

Iron Bess thank ye fer clearin that up fer me says I. :) The fact that he was wasting time sending out memos about somefin' he ne'er set 'is eyes on before will be makin' no sense at all. Makes Ol' Eisner look like a drunk bilge rat...what say you? (Shrug) I say we can do better and he should leave sooner then 2006.

(Lifting up a small, gooy blob from the deck and lift'n it in yer direction) Uh.... this be yer spleen lass?? Uh, sorry 'bout the mess there, lassie. (Shrug) It's okay... I have that new Mr. Clean Eraser.

I think we all have a MUCH better chance of seeing merch this time around folks. Disney may be cheap but they are far from stupid where squeezing coin from the public is concerned. They learn a lesson very well.

I meant to say... he'd not even seen the film before he started sending out edicts.

Roy Disney must be heartbroken to see his uncle's hard work, vision and passion going done the drain. Not in the least. Not for Walt's sake anyhow. Roy and Walt did not, by any streatch of the imagination get along. Iron Bess, exactly who didn't have confidence in POTC? Eisner? Or The Powers that Be in general? I just find it hard to believe that he didn't have enough common sense to see what an enormous hit he had It was Eisner. He was afraid everyone would think Jack was gay and what was worse, Ted and Terry and a much better title for the film (no, don;t ask...) and it was Eisner insisted they use Curse of the Black Pearl. And he's not even seen it yet.

Well.. speaking in the guise of herself, Grace O'Malley... if'n there were no women Pirates.... there would be no FUTURE Pirates!

(Delftly runs the tip of her fingers across the hilt of her rapier...) Well said m'lad. (Nestles the turned rosewood grip in her palm) I'll remember the offer. Indeed. I'll remember. :)

They will be available online and at SunCoast video stores. They should be for sale sometime in November.

Now there's an actor who would be a great foil as a Corsair for Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow. That is, of course, if Geoffrey isn't available. Ooooh.... Capt'n Johnny will have PLEANTY to keep him busy, belive me.

*waves hand vigorously* Me me me! I'm close enough, at least for a while... and of course, I'll buy!!!!! Well.... send me a PM sometime we'll see if our schedule work out. I will be gone though from the 19th to the 27th. Going up to look at Houses in Carmel.

For the right amount of money, anything is possible. Isn't that so, Iron Bess? Too bad Michael Eisner is still in charge of the Mouse's vision and purse. Michaels's contract isn;t up until 2006 ... after that he will be replaced. our fear in the meantime though (and YES it's VERY possible...) is that he'll run us into the ground before he leaves. Fact is, it's already started.

Don;t feel sorry for Geoffrey, at least he's a working actor. It's no secret Geoffrey has every intention of doing Barbossa again. The problem is that he is already booked during the filming of the 2nd film so in all likely hood he may be a blurb in the seond film and carry on into the third. Sorry folks, it's the nature of the beast.

No, I don;t mind. No secret here that I am the Walt Disney Studios Talent and Production Coordinator. (shrug) It's a living.

Monk is a TV series that one of our producers does. It stars Tony Shaloub as a detective who is odd to say the least. Add to that that he is a very nice guy and I enjoy it all the more. I don;t really watch much of anything we do. It's all pretty brainless if you ask me.

I major factor in Disney NOT doing live action merch is that they have to PAY the folks whose likeness they use. Greedy is as greedy does. The truth is there are no better Pirates in the world then Disney. As I said, I think there will be things available after these films. they see the boat they missed with the first one (that they had little confidence in...) and we think they will do better this time around. We all hope so.

Ahhhh.... kindred to me last breath m'lad. And the last wave that swirls across me breast!

Oooooooooooooo I'd not call then nerds. Not by a LONG shot!!

If'n your going to ply your wears you ought to introduce yerself lass first if nothing else. A crew is more apt to leand an ear to a body they know! Go to the initiation ristes and pub management heaading and buy a round. We tend to listen better if'n we be a mite drunk. Welcome lass....

(No pirate speak whatsoever....) In plain, Queens English... Disney does not have a blind eye they are simply stupid. Disney has no policy to merchendise *live actions* films. They only do things with official sanction for animated movies. I think we all know there is no lack of Little Mermaid or Brother Bear stuff. Disney simply does not and will not Merch live action movies. However.... with so many of us pointing out the overwhelming demand for Pirates goods we have a small dlimmer of hope that with the next two films they may relent. We have appealed to their greed and pointed out the money other people are making off Pirate goods. But DIsney has a major problem in Michael Eisner. This is the man that keep sending memos that in no uncertain terms was Johnny Depp to act that way!! I hope this helps.

Yes, the writers were at the comic con and saw them. Said they are amazingly real. And that talk!!
