Before the drunk captain can answer Christine, he .... ....is swept into a hot flamenco dance with Rummy3. Ciaran's boots click and pound the floor as Rummy3's colourful dress swirls and sways to the Latin beat. Ciaran looks toward Christine and notices that she has taken a red rose from one of the table vases and placed it between her teeth. As Rummy3 twirls round and round, Ciaran beckons Christine to join them.

(3 bottles of wine later.....Ciaran staggers to his feet, takes Christine by the hand, and in his best Saturday Night Live Sprockets voice says...) Now's the time in the Pyracy Pub when we dance!

I'll be havin some of them ribs, WRW, and a bottle of yer best red wine. Ye be an extraordinary cook, good Sir! (hands a fistful of crowns to William) As I still be a bit new in this port, would there be a dance floor nearby? I keep hearin threats and talks of dancin folk here, but can't find 'em. I be needin to work out some jittery energy! It's been one of those crazy pirate days!

Ye may already be aware that North Carolina's oldest town, Bath, is celebrating its 300th birthday this year. The NC General Assembly will kick off the celebrations on this Tuesday, 8 March, by meeting there for the first time since the 1700s. In addition to Ocracoke, Blackbeard called Bath home and it was here that Gov. Charles Eden reportedly conducted Blackbeard's marriage to his 14th bride. I be sure that Blackbeard will be well represented in Bath during the 2005 events and perchance ye will want to attend some of the celebrations. (Ciaran's heart is warmed when he knows there are vinyl lovers/protectors of vinyl still at large.) I love vinyl. Never got rid of my immense collection of 45s and albums (mainly from the 80s) when cds became the rage. I do have cds, but also an expensive turntable. Whenever me housemates and I throw a party, out comes my vinyl and the dancing begins! No one ever touches me vinyl, 'cept me. That's how I've kept it in such pristine shape. Mon Dieu, j'aime la musique des annees 1980! Year of the Cat is a wonderful piece of music, La Merfaucon. Makes me want to smell "incense and patchouli".
