  1. That's one of the more interesting parts of being sick - the wacky dreams from your brain heating up.
  2. I wish I could get away from this low-grade bronchitis that's been bugging me these past several weeks. It's not pleasant to be in a meeting and suddenly get a coughing attack. My co-workers wonder if they are going to witness me coughing up a lung. Of course I kind of overdid it this weekend, with the Carnaval parade in San Francisco (exhausting!) and then an impromptu musical performance at Quinn's Lighthouse on Sunday and visiting friends and drinking too much rum on Monday. Jack and I are testers for their rum drink experiments - Monday's was a cross between a Mojito and a Suffering Bastard. Very tasty, but knocked me sideways.
  3. Mid-70's and sunny out here (south of San Francisco, just by the bay.) Or so they say. I'm still at work for three more hours, so I won't get to experience it, other than looking out my window. This weekend's supposed to be nice, though.
  4. Air-cooled (at least in the original model)
  5. The cuffs ARE nuts. I ended up using seam binding to hide the raw edges. I just got a copy of the J.P. Ryan coat pattern. I need to make four red coats for the July 4th fireworks display, since we're doing a ship-to-shore cannon battle. Unfortunately, the coat only goes up to a XL and someone has asked to be the fourth cannoneer who is a size or two larger than that. So, this will be an interesting challenge.
  6. Dreams are funny things. They can either sort out what's going on with you at the present time or they can be visions. When I was younger, I used to have prophetic dreams all the time. I had a dream about the Apollo One disaster a couple of weeks before it happened - how's that for spooky? Last night I had a dream that I had to stop a plane, but I was on a cliff far away. Of course, since this was a dream, I was going to make a giant leap through the air and land near the plane and somehow stop it. But because my better half was with me, his extra weight made me drop like a stone (weird sensation in a dream, to be falling so fast...) and we landed outside the gate and then I woke up while we were trying to sneak past the guards through the barracks. Okay - figure that one out.
  7. Is this one from Field of Dreams? It kind of sounds like it is. Of course I've only seen "The Natural", "Field of Dreams" and "Bull Durham" and the line doesn't sound like it's from either of the other two. I'm sure there are lots of other baseball movies out there, so I'm probably off on this one.
  8. If the necessary sailboat accessory is a cannon (a small one, mind you.)
