An interview with Keith, definite no no to POTC! Keef snubs "Pirates" (Tuesday September 13, 2005 12:34 AM) Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has denied claims he'll star alongside Johnny Depp in the sequels to "Pirates Of The Caribbean". Depp is believed to have based his portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow in the original film on the rock'n'roll legend. Earlier this year, it emerged that Richards had been approached to star in the two forthcoming films to play Depp's father. However, Richards has now revealed that despite having spent a day with Depp on-set, he has turned down the role, saying he strongly opposes working with Disney. He explained: "Johnny and I spent a great afternoon trying to get these things (costumes) on. But that doesn't mean I'm doing it. At the moment I've turned them down. "They're shooting while I'm touring. I'd love to do it if there was no hassle, but it would be a side trip. I know what my gig is. The idea of working for Disney gives me the shivers in the first place."

I knew at some point it would come but when it takes too long you forget and then it turns out to have become so much..that's the problem with such things but i'll be ok i guess. You can always make paying agreements :) Thanks for caring Capt. Tito Capt. lazarus, have you eaten yet? I feel quite hungry myself, as it's 4.42 am (been paint shop pro-ing as always when something to forget and to calm down..) so it's early morning LOL. I'll be off to get some sleep soon :)

Thanks, it sucks that i've done so much to correct their mistakes and in the end they make it sound like i didn't do my work. The counselor sent the info months ago and now they come with their comments, and before i went to the counselor i ran up and down between them with info papers to fill in etc etc etc and no one listened.. The tax office is a mess

Great pics were posted on Marty's forum, the Flying Dutchman. **edited by moderator: link removed for protection of the pub and its participants.** I particularly like the skeleton as figurehead.

I don't see what the point is really, discussing what's too much or not. Anyone is different and what one thinks is "right" isn't right for the next, anyone and everyone should worry what they themselves wear and leave others to do the same. One must do as they like and not give a shit about what anyone else feels about it, after all what if you are all perfect and period and feel like crap in it? Have fun and do as ye like i say Oh, that doesn't mean don't discuss it by the way Just don't want to see it become yet another pub war..

Like my world just collapsed on top of me..like a fist hit my face..like i just don't give a damn about anything right now as i'm sick of being a punch ball for morons.. A FULL YEAR i have trying to convince the goverment (housing benefit department) that my income was wrong, gone up and down to the tax office, filled in forms and finally ended up with the legal counselor because i couldn't deal with it anymore and she helped fill in the necesary papers and the tax office didn't forward it to the vrom (housing benefit dept) and now..i got mail saying i have to pay back €1066.68 which is in dollars $1,309.16 ..

I have always liked adventure movies etc and pirate movies but got into it as i am now through POTC. I'm not a regular re-enactor as you guys are as there aren't many events like that overhere but speaking for myself, i just took a pattern i liked and made the big hat with the plumes yes, also as Barbossa had it but because i like big hat with plumes. That is rule one for me, i have to like it nomather what anything else thinks! I also have to admit, maybe i would be more historical if i lived overthere where it's a lot more serious but i do try to be somewhat accurate but don't make it a must to have éverything precisely as it should be, I have to like it too but i wouldn't make a precise Jack Sparrow or Barbossa outfit, based on maybe but not the same as i want it to be my costume, and not someone elses.
