  1. Sorry I missed you too but what a large crowd braved the heat to see the pirates and watch the canon being fired. I did get to meet Captain Hurricane's spy, a kindly young man who rescued me from an inquiring Spanish soldier. Together, we were able to keep the soldiers busy till the Pirates of the Coast took the fort...lol Perhaps next time we can spend more time together in a cooler place.
  2. I'll try ta drop by and say Hey!......If I don't make it, then WELCOME TA ST. AUGUSTINE! Joe(KP)
  3. I don't think the deck had anything to do with wearing or not wearing boots or shoes for it was surely a hot blistering deck in the tropics and an icy one on the northern seas in winter. Going barefoot gave the sailor more feel of how he moved around in the rigging. KP
  4. Here be some photos of me in my Playing Outfits . Ain't it grand ta be grown and still love ta play? Fair Winds KP

  7. We have two pirate events each year in St. Augustine (Searle’s Raid in March and Drake's Raid in June.) The Fernandina Pirates raid the Shrimp Festival in May and the Jacksonville based Brothers of the Coast do events every chance they get. Orlando has Pirates as does Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clear water then there is the Pirates in Paradise in Key West....The groups and events are growing every year....and I know some pirates in Atlanta and all up and down the East Coast....you will be with in driving distance of lots of groups and events. Welcome to the Lands of Pirates KP

I may not sell a lot of books but Boy! am I having fun.....lol Here is a photo of the chest. Feels like I am going through my 2nd childhood. KP

  18. l@u mmmmm........well it takes a real man to wear sissy clothes..lol Remember! real pirates wore whatever they could take and often dressed in excess with the mind that they were dressed like the upper crust......now that I think about it....the upper crust dressed kinda strange too...lol I fancy my garb will be something like this...plus the hat. 21. I like to think I am me most of the time and my character when it is convent however, at work we recently had a new grad assigned to our office. A nice young lad I think but I just found out the first week there he told his roommate. "They put me in this office with three older men and one of them thinks he is a pirate!, What’s up with that?" So I guess my pirate personal creeps through more than I thought....lol KP
  22. I give you joy, Captain and lifts a glass to your success. Fair Winds KP
