Oh, yeah, I'll definitely be there. Been going every year since 1994. Last year I was part of this huge Batman ensemble, the 60's version that is. I was Catwoman, I used my own long blonde hair. Men did not seem to care-LOL! Not sure what I'm going to do this year. I'll probably bring my ren faire garb. My guyfriend's (Batman in the pic) seamstress is working on the dress Elizabeth wore from Pirates, the Barbossa dress. Don't know if it will be ready in time tho. Well, it's a big convention and gets bigger every year. I can be on the look out for your in-laws tho.

Yup, in 8 days, July 9th, the one year anniversary! Stopping first on Geoffrey Rush's birthday of course, the 6th.

It's some time in August at Balboa Park. I missed out on it last year cuz my work schedule was really crazy then. I don't want to miss it this year. Some friends and family went and said it was pretty good and a lot of fun! Anyone here planning on going?

Here's what I don't get: Of course there's other people who know about this information other than Bess. So, why would she be the only one blamed for it? LOL!!!! But seriously now....*ahem* I be from California, born and raised here. Iff'n any of you have read the post about the recent earthquake you'll see I live in the city Escondido. Yup, the locals here have referred to it as Escondilwad or Escondildo. When the one theater on East Valley Parkway closed my cousin found it fitting to change the words in the marquee. Instead of it reading, "Thank you Escondido" he put Escondildo. It didn't matter to him, not like they could fire him-LOL!

I just watched this movie, again, tonight. Absolutely love it! Kurt Russel's Captain Ron is a cross between Jack Sparrow and Beetlejuice-LOL! He's also damn sexy too! Happy to report I own both this movie and The Goonies on dvd.

I had e-mailed Hot Topic about their POTC merchandise. Asking if they'll ever get in Barbossa stuff as well. Hopefully I'll hear back from them with good news.

Yeah, the hot weather is deifinitely the main reason why there isn't a lot of ren faires going on. Southern faire ended already. There isn't another faire in the southern California area until August. It's down in San Diego at Balboa Park. Heard it's pretty good so I'll probably check it out. Then of course there's the Del Mar Fair, oops sorry, I mean, the San Diego County Fair. They changed the name. It's not a ren fair, but something fun to do. It opens this Friday, the 11th. I actually have this weekend off so I'm thinking of going.

What are you talking about? I just said the show was already taped, but the outcome of the show is being kept a secret until June 10th. Wherever you heard this it could be just a rumor. The only way to know for sure is watch the show this Thursday.

Didja all know it was taped on June 5th here in California? The winners have already been picked and the show filmed already. Wonder how they'll be able to keep this a secret until the 10th? Hmmm.....

No, I agree. Both are sexy, charming and quite dark. They both are also very mysterious. No one knows Hook's true last name, James is his first tho. Hook, of course is the nickname. As with Barbossa, no one really knows his first name. Johnny Depp gave the character the name of Hector. Teasing Geoffrey with it off camera-lol! But for the movie's storyline itself, it was never mentioned. Ponders if these 2 would get along and form some sort of ally. They could kick some major arse together! 2 evil, cunning and sexy pirate captains working together....mmmmm..... In some ways Jason's version of Hook reminds me of my guyfriend. The long curly hair especially and the build of his body. But I always found Barbossa much more sexier. I don't know what it is, something so charming about him.

Not sure exactly what you want us to read, but I laughed so hard over the fact Johnny loves Dark Shadows. LOL!!!! That's so cool, I love that show, the whole story behind it and all. How cool that he loves the character Barnabas Collins, the famous vampire of day time soap opera. He always wanted to play him and own a Wolf's head cane like what Barnabas had. How funny and cool at the same time! :)
