It was a new bell and/or whistle to futz around with when this new edition of the Pub came along. Honestly, without looking I couldn't even tell you who is in my friends list. Here's a question, consider it rhetorical if you like. Can someone you don't know in a physical sense really be your friend? (one of those things I ponder to no end...)

Exactly. He's a great guy. And a real honest to god punk too. A fellow gamer, and reeanctor. He's been reenacting since he was born. He picked up the handle Munk because when he was a kid they called him Chipmunk.

There's a bunch of stuff out there, if you are looking for the European theatre of the war. Like Michael S says, look for the WotSS. I'm really, really fond of this book - The Art of Warfare in the Age of Marlborough. As for the war in America... check out the Snowshoemen's website. Ok, I posted a message on the Pirate Brethren forum. I'll post another to the mail list. And hell... I'll post a third to our Old West mail list... and a fourth to my whores... oh, right, I mean "companions"... who seem to not frequent any of those, but who I'm sure would be interested.

I'll check it out. Of course, I have everything I need to do Firefly from doing Old West and being a scifi addict, but hey... there's always something ya need. I'm thinking I'd use my Rogers and Spencer pistol, and just fire caps without the powder. Or the powder. Or whatever. And I wonder if Scurvy Hanna still has his yellowboy... and I wonder if he'd be willing to sell it...

Happy Belated Birthday Captain! May the Force be with You!

I've been reenacting all sorts of things for three decades, and all I can say is, with the exception of the first Hampton Blackbeard Festival (which was actually part of OpSail'0-whatever), I'm not sure I've seen so many things going on at one place during the course of a day. The camps, the music, the ships, the pubbing... it was one huge ball of zany piratical fun. Hell, I took a few of my extreme hard core reenactors with me, and even they had fun.
