bo, it almost sounds like i just need to make a trip over once i get the trailer fixed, and pick up everything... it's an 8' long trailer with sides, so any poles and long stuff can easily fit...will also bring the big van without the seats, so alot can go in there too... let's work out a date on the whydah so we can all go en masse !!

if linda can't make it happen for whatever reasons, then maybe a donation from people would be the next possible venue to get it under control... there probably will be a bunch of redtape she has to go through to get it done and even then, it may not happen...i'd be willing to chip in to help this happen... it may even come all the way down to 5$ a person for this... small fee for what we get out of the weekend !!

michael and mark, any talk of possibly getting another porta potty cleaning on saturday day ?? i'm gonna stick to my guns on this one... i really think another cleaning is necessary on saturday...

i would think that one lesson won't make me a competent sword fighter... neither would anyone on the other end of the sword !! safety is stressed and i think others would want alot more practise from me !!

to get some rope for a multitude of projects i want to do, i plan on buying some hemp rope from hemptraders.... the rope i want to buy is the 5 mm rope... if i buy the case ( 45 spools ) i can get it at 7$ per 120'... since i don't need so much, i plan on selling off the rest... anyone interested in acquiring some ,lemme know... this will determine if i get the BIG bulk order or the smaller bulk order... delivery can be made at any of the events i plan on attending...

william, i do hope it is more than just you... we have to thank tracy (??) personally for the flag... so she has to come !! pick up bo on your in... we now have our new tent... got a fairly good deal on it... so as of right now, we have two wall tents, and i want to get a wedge tent for the older kids... so we do have room to spare for those who are tentless... the smaller wall tent may go up for sale during the event... it is a nice size, the kids and i can set it up with no problem... the larger tent may take two adults, tho... so i may keep the smaller one or sell it ... don't know yet... the local people i know that attend the fort have commitments to other camps, yet may join us on occasion ... one night has been set aside for "chicago hot dog night" ... not pc, but had been decided upon by me and some "locals"... dang i'm rambling... sailor jerry's rum and dr. pepper !!

wow !! it sounds like they are very willing to play !! that is great news !! did you mean help with the head counting ?? on our end, there will be my family,there will be about 8 of us, and there will probably be in the neighborhood of 10 or so that will come and join us from the st. louis area... of course as time goes on, there may be more, there may be less...

and that's exactly what i first thought after seeing your fine work... but we would probably use the blanket/ seat warmer more than a muff... heck, the way the sleeves were, not much had to be done to make them muffs !!

i will gladly let someone who is more computer savvy handle the task... my current computer has scanner issues, i don't know how to do some stuff that others can... so PLEASE, step up and handle the task !! still is a cool find, bo !!

yeah, i have a pattern for a great coat and kinduv undecided whether i want it for cold or for cold and rain... since i really don't wanna camp any where in the snow, i'm leaning towards rainy conditions... in the fall at fort de chartres, we got extremely lucky with beautiful weather... almost sweated at one point... regulars there stated that some years were cool and rainy... but still undecided !! oh ---- thanks for the answers and links !!

i think bit by bit, we will see more of this... budgets are being cut every where...
