  1. after a little deliberation, we have decided to forgo the wall tent this time... indecision, delivery times, more time needed to make poles, expense all add up to making this a no-go... we can check out every one's while down there and plan a little better for the future.. well.... would've been cool... :)
  2. pole length is not an issue.... 5'10".... all urchins will be attending... but have other small tents, too..
  3. ok... need to buy a wall tent for PiP... who recommends what vendor ??? 4 foot wall heighth, or 5 ??? going to get the sun resistant, flame retardent one , so that part is settled... tia

  8. oh, almost forgot... we have 9 children.... 7 will be with us... so there is kind of a need to bring some stuff... unfortunatly, we can't travel light :)
  9. as of right now, i have 1 1/2 hammocks,3/4 of 1 tent done, have to get a big tent, need a fly, but we got nuffin to sit on or set stuff on other than coleman folding chairs, and a plastic top table ( you know, the newer ones with collapsible legs ). as far as i know --- now correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't think coleman was around to outfit sailors back "in the day"... just trying to blend in better at the camp...
  10. i want to make a simple table for our camp, something fairly easy, can be knocked down for transport, and pc looking... also want to make a few chests for some storage and seating... i have a few ideas that will work, but want to get ideas from others who have made some.... ( pics would help me too :) )
  11. my art work ??? mostly work with wood - alot of construction at the house, different colors - what i think would blend together nicely as i redo the outside of the house, my imagination - coming up with the beat-all-end-all deck design, metal - for doing body work on cars, paint - for painting said cars, fiberglass - for boat repair, paint again- for said boats, would like to think my canvas work is an art, but then no one else has seen it yet !!! my 35mm camera - i have alot of very good shots, but they are far between, landscaping - learned alot on our yard not really "artwork" per say, but i like to think that a beautifully done anything is a work of art, whether it is a painting, an orchesteral piece, sculpture- a knife can be a work of art, a design of a deck, or landscape design. other than that, i can't draw worth a crap, can't dance, can't sing, can't tell great stories... oh well
  12. [The current one I have and would never trade for another.... parent. wife reading your posts, again ???? i mean, yes, i could not agree more, dear sir.... yeah, it is great, a little trying at times.... sometimes i wonder if we are supposed to learn from them and not the other way around....
