As many of you know from my last post, I am now starting to make cannons and after reading about sea chests thought what a wonderful idea to poll a series of questions to gather input.

Okay, in an effort to make some shiny so I can pay for, and play more, at pirates, I'm timidly putting my toe in the waters of trying to sell some of my custom-made jewelry. Thought I would run my wares by you guys first. A brief description of what I do: I take bits and pieces of old, sometimes vintage, costume jewelry, old or vintage beads, and anything else I can find that looks interesting, and combine them with beads and findings I get locally. With the vintage bits, I clean them up, but I will still use them even if they are a bit tarnished or the surface is worn (though not trashed), because I like the patina of age it gives the piece. Each piece is unique, bec…

These big weapons of pokiness caught my eye at PiP, as I saw a few used in battle and other events. Where might I find a pike for purchase, or should I try my hand at making one myself? I found a few armory sites that carry ash poles and the pointy bits (spears 'n such) and caps for the bottoms of the poles. Does one buy those pieces and then sand the heck out of the pointy bits to make sure they're safe for events? (Willie and Doug are both holding pikes.) (Doug, William and Willie heading off to battle with pikes. I wants a pike!)

Hello folks! I wanted to let you know that we now have a new product in our line of fine period reenactment, pirate, and nautical goods... We have reproduced the ring found on the wreckage of the Whydah. The original was gold, but at $900 an ounce, that's not very affordable. So, we had these made in brass. They are accurate copies of the original ring and are available in many common sizes. Please let me know what size you need. I only have a few in stock right now, but I have more coming soon, so if I don't have your size, I'll put you on the backorder list which should only take a couple of weeks. They are $25 each. Here is a picture: And here is a picture of th…

Does anybody remember this poster? Any idea where I could get another? In my teens I got the coolest pyrate-ship-battle cartoon poster from Spencer's Gifts at a mall (circa 1986-ish). It featured a ton of little pyrates carving each other up. I'd love to get that poster back. It was a pretty big poster, wider than tall, with a black background and two ships in a dark ocean, with a cute but fierce battle in full progress. Pyrates were drawn with a lot of detail, kinda like the "Where's Waldo?" of pyrate ship battles. The one I remember best was hacked in half with a shocked look on his face. Lots of cute gory details. No idea who the artist is.

Hey mates, ran into Greg at Ft. Fredrick last weekend. He just wanted to pass along that his web site is down but he is still up and running strong. He is on the road a lot and not near a computer to reply to e-mails, but sends hugs to all and cant wait to try to camp out at PIP this year. . He has a new supply of the good dark green, thick onion bottles back in stock. I think they were $30-$35 each, but please don't hold me to it. I also saw a few new goodies he has in stock. He will be at Blackbeards with a full load.

Reposted with permission from this Forum This tent is a great deal, I'd buy it myself if I hadn't just acquired a new (to me) tent on a trade deal. In case you are worried about shipping, the owner is in the Baltimore area of Maryland.

After a successful sale a couple of weeks ago on this site, I find I must sell yet another pistol. It's a Loyalist 1730's British Heavy Dragoon. Aged and used condition, but has only shot about 6 blank charges in a film. Has the belt hook. Email me, and I'll send pics. kfarrah1718@gmail.com I want 150.00 + 15.00 shipping, which is half of a new one without the belt hook! Thanks, Billy BTW, I'm not trading or coming down in price! I AM a collector of early books on piracy, exploration, and buccaneering---if you happen to have such an item you'd wanna part with.

I am making my 2009 Scion xB "Highland Revenge" into a pirate themed box for shows. Accordingly, I need a pair of cannon barrels that are approx. 2 feet long. I'll need to make carriages to fit, but I have been unable to locate cannon barrels to the specs I'll need.
