What items do you need to fill out your kit that you find almost impossible to locate? We all know that shoes are tough but what other items do you hope to find at every event you attend only to discover them when you have no cash? These need not be 'period' items or even garb. Toys, books, pottery, items of interest and education. What ever. Who knows, perhaps a fellow ship mate can direct you to the source or a vendor take up the call to sell such an item??? I saw a Japanese doll made of string. It looked much like tiny voodoo doll complete with a hook, patch, and peg leg. The guy who had it told me it was given to him by a friend. I found similar in Japan duri…

This is a new beastie we have been working on..., its not completely finished. it needs the tiller installed so I can aim it. Anyway I am very excited about this one and hoping to fire it soon. We have 6 more coming soon...., this is the first of 7 ...,the next 6 will be carriage mounted. We ( I ) am wanting to name these after Pub Members as they come in. Probably I will put a name on the carriages....., If a members is ok with it. But this one I beleive will be getting its name above the cascabel on the breach in the Bronze since a swivel has no carriage. I was wanting to use Pub members names that I thought would be befitting to name a cannon for our Scuba Craft. ..…

Hello, I have made many customized action figures over the last few years. While I have made a number of 12" action figures - mostly Captain America related, I have made a couple of 6" figures - one based on a MR Incredible toy, and the other on a WWE wrestling figure. I am pondering the possibility of creating Pirate action figures based on people's photos of themselves (or photos I would take). I am more than happy to send anybody examples of my work - I have to get some shots of my pirate figures. Please feel free to send me a request to see some of what I have made. My e-mail address is : dandycat@wowway.com I also would like to get some opinions on what folk…

If anyone out there has a parrot like a Macaw or similar with colorful feathers, I am in need of them if you tend to save them when the bird molts. Even the small colorful feathers I use. Grey and reds from African Greys are needed too. Sorry don't need any cockatiel or parakeet feathers. I will gladly make you a free feather hat pin in exchange for them. PM me if you can take advantage of this offer. Sorry, no ostrich feathers - I don't use them. (I still owe Stynky a hat pin and I promise he'll get it as soon as I get more feathers to work with)

I was poking around on ebay this morning and found these shoes listed. They don't look like the best quality. They look very similar to some kids sized shoes that we got for our youngest son a few years ago. The buckle looks pretty lightweight, and they probably use a velcro closure, just like my son's shoes. But they held up pretty well, and looked just fine for the events we were going to then. They wouldn't pass muster with the serious reenactor, but they would be just fine for faires and the like. And at 30 bucks plus $13 for shipping, they may work out for someone who is just starting out.

I thought this might be the crowd to show this to. I have a super cute crocheted, baby/toddler, hooded "carriage" cape for sale ($25 shipped in US). It's made from "Vanna's Choice" acrylic yarn so that it is easy to clean, though it does look like wool. The color is an interesting brown/gray with hunter green buttons. It would be perfect for chilly evenings or fall/ spring events and could easily work for "steampunk baby edition" =P If anyone is interested please PM me. I can accept paypal, moneyorders and personal checks. Thanks!!! PS. if anyone is interested in this style, but a different color, just let me know, I would be happy to make one to your specifications. …
