Ahoy! The captain posted this on MySpace, but then he remembered that there's an excellent pirate community here that can offer valuable insight. The Seabeaver is looking to develop some stickers (classic b&w) that we'll be giving away for free in the future for advertisement purposes. Nothing too detailed--just keepin' it simple. Right now we have four concept ideas, and we were hoping people could vote and decide which ones they like best. We might make some alterations, but this is what we have so far... - Mr. Scabbs www.seabeaver.net 1) This is the classic skull logo. 2) This is the skull logo with a cannon. 3) This is the skull logo crazy drunk…

Originally presented as "true, from a friend", submitted here for general amusement. YMMV. * After an appropriate period of deliberation, I have come to the decision to tender my resignation from XYZ Telecom, effective two weeks from the date you receive this letter. Please know that I still maintain a high level of respect for you as a manager and colleague, and I thank you sincerely for the support and assistance you have offered me in each of those roles. I have been proud to work for XYZ Telecom over the past four years; it has been a journey that has provided me an unparalleled foundation to move forward to new and exciting opportunities. As such, I have decided …

Has anyone else seen these? I went to my local gaming store last week and was floored to find a set of 6 BEAUTIFUL painted plastic islands for Pirates of the Spanish Main. $30 for the set. Each is lovingly hand painted and has fabric on the bottom so they don't slide or scuff. Went back this week and now they also have a set for Pirates of the Crimson Coast. Just as wonderful! They appear to be done by an outside group using the license, but are still marvelous! Gale Force Nine Islands I recommend that all hard-core Pirates gamers to go set a set or both today!

I know there was a link somewhere on here to this site previously, but I couldn't find it. Anyways, the site's been updated and it looks like the magazine should be hitting the racks any time now. I'm going to go looking around for it this week and see what it's like. Pirates Magazine If you've seen the magazine "Fairie Magazine", they're the same people putting this one out. If I can find the magazine I'll give it a read and let you know what I think.

The books I'm talking about are Dan Perry's book "Blackbeard: The Real Pirate of the Caribbean" and the other is Angus Konstam's "Blackbeard: America's Most Notorious Pirate." Have any of you read one or both of them? If so which one is the best for detailed research (i.e. not a rehash of the usual stuff we already know re: Blackbeard, pirates in general, etc.)?

I can thank Bilgemunkey for getting me hooked on this game. I love the puzzles that this game gives and I don't have to pay for it. I will be paying for it in the near future. Now do any of you play too?

Some of my wife's co-workers - having seen us now in garb - have wondered if we would come into the bookstore they work in to do a reading for kids, capitalizing, no doubt, on the upcoming POTC2. Any suggestions out there for a good pyrate-themed kids book? I know there are quite a few out there aimed at kids, was just wondering if anyone here might have direct experience with some good titles, maybe through their own kids. Thanks for any help...

My pen-pal in Canada just sent these to me. Unfortunately she doesn't package things well, and some were broken. I managed to glue the broken peices back on except for one; I can't find the tinly little piece from the Scotsman, after it went flying and buried itself somewhere in my carpet. They are plastic. Has anyone seen these before? Play Pirates front PlayPirates back

I saw a link someone had to a modified version of Capt.Morgan's Revenge the other day and can't seem to locate it. It comes in a very nice wooden box, has several shot glasses and a tall pilsner type glass with it . It was around $42.oo to $45.oo. Any ideas where to purchase please let me know. Thanks.

Ok get those TIVO's ready...now's yer chance to see Bob Hope as a pirate in the The Princess & The Pirate on TCM tonight, followed by Abbott & Costello meet Captain Kidd at 12:30, which I've been dying to see. Charles Laughton reprises his role as Kidd from the first Kidd movie he did, which was great the first time around. Can't wait to see how he hams it up with the guys.

hi! im a newbie on this forum, but i absolutley adore pirates! as soon as i found this site i was immediately praising the pirate gods for guiding me to his most wonderful community! To get to the point, other than the great point i made about how great a forum this is, im looking for any advice i can get about putting on a pirate skit or writing a humourous, originl song about pirates! the reason i am doing this is because my school is holding a fun day and a competition where students can perform something in front of the rest of the school and they vote for the best act...myself and two of my male friends love pirates so much, that we want to share that love with the…

I recently rented out the movie "Into the Blue" with Jessica Alba. I rented it with reluctancy due to the fact Jessica Alba is nice to look at but her acting skills are bland. While I watched it, I was pretty impressed. With pirate on the brain, I could almost see a movie about "modern pirates." I can't go into detail, but if you have the time check it out and you will know what I mean. Cheers!

Th' first gold doubloon be mine fer spottin' the prize! I was at me local TRU (TRUe Pirates they are with jackin' up the prices) and found 2 of the PotC2 Megablok sets. According to the packaging and instruction insert, this line has: 2 Jack Compass (like the MB Pyrates treasure pouch, in theory). One has Davey Jones, and the other has Jack and both come with little pieces to assemble. I got the Davey compass (twas the only one they had) and he comes with a miniature ship to ride in. 2 Skull Islands. Now with Jack "braid" . One has Jack and a Liz (I'm guessing, it was a female fig and she makes the most sense), the other has Jack and the Hammerhead guy (I got this…

Just got my quarterly copy of the Mickey Monitor (annual passholder newsletter that Disney sends out) and it's got some great info on the ride updates, and other things being added at Disney. The article confirms that the ride storyline is being revamped to have Barbossa laying seige to the town on the Pearl, trying to flush Jack out of hiding...because only Jack knows where the treasure is hidden. Jack will pop up throughout the ride. There will also be a ghostly (hologram) apparition of Davy Jones' tentacled mug floating in the air that your boat passes thru. Apparently there will also be a real life Jack Sparrow hanging out in Caribbean Plaza from the rides reopeni…
