BriarRose Kildare Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Aye, Patrick, Dorian is right...try it with six kitty cats. And when they want attention well there's no denying their demands. Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all. The Dimension of Time is only a doorway to open. BriarRose Kildare Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Patrick, honey, I completely understand. Last December, we had a cat adopt us. She belongs to some one, but she thinks she is our cat. We take care of her and feed her. And when she doesn't come around I worry about her all the same. She tries to come in the house, but with the other cats we haven't yet allowed that to happen. So I guess you could say we have 6 inside cats, well 7 if you include the ghost cat, and 1 out side cat. I am glad he came home and the two of you have been reunited. A friend is a friend even if they wear fur, they're still special. Patrick Hand Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 I was looking for a file, and found this one.... I posted it bofore.... but figure I may get a little more milage outta it........ You may be a Sci-Fi/Pyrate/Renn. Faire/S.C.A. geek if…. You know the answer to the ultimate question of “Life, the Universe and everything”. You know what a quaffle is, and what game it is from. You not only know what D20s are, you have a bunch of them. You understand the “Combat Results Tables” from Avalon Hill war games. You know that Jabba the Hutt is not a coffee shop. You have argued about Balrogs having wings or not. You know the difference between Dragons and Basilisks You think Starship Troopers was just a “Bug Hunt”, but it would have been cool if they showed the powered armor. You’ve not only gone to a Science Fiction convention, but your “Hall Costume” received many good comments. Someone doesn’t have to ask what your favorite T.V. show or movie is, they can tell just by looking in your living room. You have at least one “Action Figure” that is still in it’s original packaging. You’ve gone to a Fast Food restaurant just to get the “Collectors Cups” If someone says “We didn’t expect the Spanish Inquisition” and you have a hard time not saying the next line. You not only know what a “Filk Song” is, you know all the words to a few of them. You’ve drunk Dragon’s Blood, Romulain Ale, Warnog, or some other alcoholic concoction just because it sounded like fun at the time. You have spent more than $40.00 on a Collectable Card game. You have more books than bookcases to hold them. You get excited about fabric sales. You own more swords than steak knives. If the power goes out, you have enough lanterns and candles to light your house. There is more garb in your closet than mundane clothing. If you are male, and have worn tights. You get annoyed when someone doesn’t know the difference between Star Wars and Star Trek. You’ve seen a movie on opening night in garb. You know what “GNDN” from Star Trek stands for. The bumper sticker on your car is so obscure, that only another fan will get the joke. Most of these apply to you, but you'r still having too much fun to care.......
Abrams Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Patrick, this makes me wonder if you'll be playing some D&D at Pirates in Paradise! I've got the heart of a pirate, just not the garb...
Red Cat Jenny Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 woah.... Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.... Her reputation was her livelihood. I'm a pirate, love. By nature and by choice! My inner voice sometimes has an accent! My wont? A delicious rip in time...
Patrick Hand Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 makes me wonder if you'll be playing some D&D at Pirates in Paradise! NO WAY...... I like the rules for Ruin Quest better...... Or the ones that I'm kinda writting up........... Bloodthirsty Pyrates ...the game... I just keep getting sidetracked.... so they are only partily written.... Dirt simple, and Fun... the combat rules are easy, and you roll handfulls of dice.......
BriarRose Kildare Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 One of the sweetest and dearest things to see is the unconditional love in your own child's eyes....and knowing that no matter what he will always love you. BriarRose Kildare Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Dang.... after wot BriarRose (the old name fer Sleeping beauty)... posted.... My observation 'bout me mouse an' how it starts to scroll all over a page just sounds kinda lame...... Ah, Patrick, I was just feeling warm and fuzzy over me wee little lad. He is a treasure to be sure and the sunshine of our lives. Nathaniel is a true Blessing. You don't really know the wonderous feeling it is to have a child love you so completely until you have one of your own. Children are the blessings of this world for sure. And by the way, you are correct on my name BriarRose....Sleeping Beauty is my all time favorite story. One of my interests is studying fairytales. Red-Handed Jill Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Yep! Cold is when it's below freezing and you're sleeping outside! (Jack's and my tent currently qualifies as outside...) Next time, I'll clear a space and put one of those braziers at your feet, Patt. Probably would have helped.
