LadyBarbossa
Wicked is as wicked does Lady B. Aye, Mr Gage... that be VERY true. Pete! FANTASTIC images! My compliments to your troops there. The young ones there look fantastic! I pray at least William will be able to make to Port Washington next year... t' have fun with the other boys. :) Hehehe... Both of him are great. The ship is a nice accent. ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" "I'm completely innocent of whatever crime I've committed." The one, the only,... the infamous! Francois
Pete You got some great photos there. I like the one with you in the cage. My wife has the same problem with dressing sometimes. My wife's problem is that she hates to wear dresses. So we solved that problem and she wears shirt slops doublet or what ever she feels comfortable in. I've learned she doesn't like to re-enact as much as I do. She tolerates it and will go with me for support. Capt. Lazarus Gage I like your frok what kind of cloth is it cut form. Cap'n Pete Straw
Francois, My wife is quite supportive of my reenacting bug, as long as she does not have to join in. Which is ironic, considering how great she looks in a costume... And I offer the following as evidence: "He's a Pirate dancer, He dances for money, Any old dollar will do... "He's a pirate dancer, His dances are funny... 'Cuz he's only got one shoe! Ahhrrr!"
Capt. Lazarus Gage
It's made of duck and is lined with a cotton/poly fabric. It has 26 antique buttons, corded button holes, and has a pleated kick plate in the back. She did a really wonderfull job and was extremely nice. Rumba Rue
Not bad! Nice to see a non-bodice picture. Just hike up the skirts to one side and you got pirates falling down around you.
Cap'n Pete Straw
Well, it's not very authentic, but this is the costume I cobbled together from things in my closet, last Hallowe'en Works for me! Hester
Not bad! Nice to see a non-bodice picture. Hi, Rue: Yeah, I have to keep it G-rated -- I open the door to all the little trick-or-treaters in this get-up, and that includes the high school boys in the Scream masks. Plus, the costume has to be warm enough for me to go walkabout and visit the Elvis impersonator on the next block, who gives an annual drive-way concert (complete with lights and sound system) that has turned into an enormous neighbourhood block party. Hallowe'en's my favourite holiday! Cheers, Hester
Rogue Mermaid
Well, I was going to be in a wedding in two weeks. However, the bride called it off a month before the wedding was to take place. So here I am wearing my medivel themed wedding bridesmaids dress. It's cute, it fits, it's more serving wench then pirate. I look grumpy in the photo because I was wrestling my digital camera. Black Bess
Sure wishing I looked that nice in a dress, Rouge Mermaid. I'm too short though. It's my family's curse. Ah well, maybe once I'm taller I'll post a picture. (If I ever find out how!) "Life's good, and why wouldn't it be? I'm a pirate after all." Weather the outfit a bit, add a baldric and a tricorn, and you'll have the look of looks. You already have the "No Quarter Given" stare perfected.
