  2. Wait wait wait... someone explain how this works to me... I'd love an apron with that design on it... and a couple extry fer the Deacon... where do we start??
  3. Sorry, mate... Morgan's Revenge indeed! Is it wrong?!? I see nothing wrong with that! Drunken Chutes and Ladders sounds like a grand idea, actually! Candy Land, with fruity flavored shots whenever you draw certain cards... sounds fantastic!!
  4. I grabbed a copy of the two-disc set... if you can afford the extra $10, go with that set... I saw the movie in theaters, so I've been watching the extra stuff, and it's really great! Definately worth the money spent!
  5. Ye've piqued me interest, mate (anything with the name "Morgan" in it grabs me interest for some reason )... what is this "Morgan's Revenge", and where can it be ordered?
  6. Wow... and WOW ! ! ! Great pics, Penny... I sooooo wish I lived closer... I only hope I can make it up that way for the party on July 4th... like I said before, we're suposed to have 4 days off... here's to hoping, cuz it looks like you guys can throw a hell of a party!
  7. Just got the collector's edition of Master and Commander,... it came with an ad for two movies I've never heard of, but they look to have been made in the late 50's-early 60's? They are called "The High Wind in Jamaica" (starring Anthony Quinn as the pirate captain) and "The Pirates of Tortuga"... I'll look for 'em, and let you know, unless someone here has already seen 'em...
  8. The new Peter Pan will be out on May 4th... be sure to get "Master and Commander" out on DVD today... not pirates, but a great period piece!! There was a pretty good Disney movie that came out in the early 90's about two kids marooned by pirates... it was called "Shipwrecked" maybe? Anyone remember this movie? I'd be interested in seeing it again to see if it still equals my memories of it . . .just got Crimson Pirate on DVD, HIGHLY RECOMENDED!
  9. Be coming from Camp Pendleton, about an hour south of Los Angeles... won't have a car, but I can prolly rent one... a shuttle is a good option, too! Thanks, Capt. Gary! I'll keep you guys informed... I'd hate to get all the way out to Cali, and not be able to see the Royaliste!
  10. Happy Birthday, lass! Happy April Fool's Day, too! Uh, I'm not insinuating anything, by the way . . .
  11. Aye Nigel... poor uncultured folk... *sigh* And absolutely NO ONE is impressed when I tell them I've spent the last several years building up an immunity to Iocane powder...
  12. Congrats, mate! I'm no decorator, but a decent craft or hobby store (Michael's or Hobby Lobby if you have those by you) have inexpensive models of sailing ships, and a pirate map printed on parchment paper (found on eBay or smithsonian museum web store) framed in rough looking wooden frame (wal-mart, target) are always cool... mebbe a storm lantern type light fixture... I'm interested in seeing pics and hearing ideas!!
  13. Well, since I'll miss another one a' me pyrate mates' birthdays, I'll start this off early... Happy Birthday, Ryann lass! May ye get all yer wishes, includin' a sailin' ship, and a bright star ta guide 'er! Cheers, lass, and have a tankard (an' some seafood lasagna) courtesy o' Cap'n Morgan!!
  14. Just ran out to Border's Books, and picked up "Artemis"... I also picked up the first book in the series, called "Kydd"... don't miss this one, either! They guy told me the next book, "Mutiny" will be out this summer sometime... good stuff!
  15. I'm reading the Aubrey/Maturin series too... just started HMS Surprise I'll have to look for Artemis, though... sounds good!
  16. I'll be in So-Cal during the Fourth, and word has it we may get a few days off from training... I just might be able to head north to see the fun!! *crosses fingers* Here's to hoping!
  17. Happy happy Birthday! Thanks for making us laugh in this here pyracy pub! I, for one (and I think I can safely speak for all the others), look forward to having you around here for a loooooong time to come! Cheers, lass, and have a birthday rum courtesy of me (and the poor schmoe I ran through to get the doubloons I be usin' ta pay fer yer drink!!)...
  18. Awesome coat there, amigo... and a very nice overall pirate ensamble... and no jokes 'bout the RPG's... got some o' me own!!
  19. Got Sideshow's Blackbeard (on eBay, new in the box, for $27!!)... I am eagerly anticipating the Rev War figures... hoping and praying for a Continental Marine in the future... (crosses fingers)
  20. And when its empty, we can turn it on it's side and use it for a hot tub, for real! *starts humming "Drunken Sailor"*
  21. Blast! And here I am preparing to order one o' them sea-service pistols meself... and I have a VERY limited amount of time to mess around with... let us know how things progress!
  22. *pulls out knife, and whittles lines (both vertical and horizontal) in different sizes and widths, so no one will suffer "waffle ass", but "plaid arse" instead...*
  23. Ha! I love all you guys... being a REAL cowboy (working ranch type... not sittin' at the honky-tonk, wearin' fancy shirts type), and weekend pirate, I feel both sides of the argument... hell, yeah, ships are expensive, but has anyone here priced a 15,000 acre cattle ranch lately?!?
