  1. they did not make coins.., however early on in the new world the spaniards did coinage using a leonardo davinci method called striking., and they did it in south america to the Aztec gold they stole before shipping it back to spain. Along with striking they also poured it into sand for approximate weight bars., ugly but heavy and valuable and left a mark in it as well. Yes the "Aztec Coin is a Disney concept for a plot., but what a cool design it is. An Aztec design on the back and an Aztec Calendar on the front modified with a skull...., interesting! I have collected several coins Peru and Panama as well as the Philippines for example all share the Spanish coat of arms on the back of all the coins..., only the face being individual to the country of origin. Where ever Spain went so was the money.
  2. Slow but sure., the castor is finished., and they are from the same mold taken from my original., The silver is great but the Romagold Alloy really looks more the part. PM if interested ., a quality lifetime wearable., not plated gold in color thru the metal., and strong for years of daily usage. the few who wanted it are already set aside for those people., so there are only a few left.
  3. true., true.., it say to be exact " No photos are available Sorry, the_pink_pyrate has not enabled any public albums in their account. Learn more about sharing albums " Bummer., I was looking forward to these..., I bet PIP was awesome....., Back Jan 18...., going on a 4500 mile trek to get work equipment..., not happy chugging thru denver (..
  4. Actually I thought the prices were fairly cheap. I have two nice frocks custom built for me to my particular wants and needs.,(this would be altering their design to MINE ! as well as fabric choices for actual sea worthyness) and I am currently working on another frock with a west coast frock maker., and these coats have all costed me much more than the ones we are talking about. I wish I could have gotten mine so cheap., and I am only a size 44 chest. my only question is why there is no karousing and participating in the forums., except for only to drop an advertisement to buy the garments. There are no other posts except for that? Kinda like this a cheap place to advertise to the pirate at heart without really associating with them ?
  5. Yes I have. Out of David Cordingly's books., I would have to say Terror on the Hiigh Seas is the better of the two. It is a more complete and accurate account of piracy. Also it covers a much longer history of time as opposed to most books focusing on only caribbean pirates. Terror focuses more on a global point of view. I would have to say its the best book I have read yet., and in Coffee Table version you get wonderful lithos and artwork from museums and admiralties. Definitely get the book.
  6. Brass could be heated and worked into a nice piece., Cast was a question I was curious on just because at 5.00 an ounce (50.00 bones for a 10 oz bar) the material cost is still reasonable for silver...,for the finished product Just think on it for a moment., a Silver Hook., now theres a piece of treasure for a chest !
  7. I am interested in a Hook that "Wont Rust" in an exetremely Humid enviroment.., perhaps a Brass., and a side note.,Are you going to form them or cast them?
  8. the finally came in at 350.00 bones., but they were worth it.
  9. O.K. Finally., The boots have arrived from Champion Attitude Boots out of Texas..., 1. Were they worth the wait ...,YES !!! 2. Was the fit better after doing research locally at boots stores..,YES 3. Was the choice for a Neoprene sole and heel smarter....,YES 4. Was the lower heel more comfortable ..,YES 5. The customized LARGER top any better..., You tell me? 6.Is the longer bell a better look or not? You tell me? All in all ., for me this is the ultimate boot and well worth the wait., if anyone is interested in this set up the lowered sole and heel package is " 1" Roper Horma" and you will have to stress it and argue it., but in the end they will do it" and you WILL be waiting for these. I am very glad I did Boots Boot heel and Neoprene soles. A naked Pirate in his new Boots Actually a FREEZING pirate in a Washington .,December.,in his underwear.
  10. The "Code" as it were ., be fairly accurate to that which was indoctinated under the command of Bartholemew Roberts..,After all he had a hand in its creation. If anyone here is interested in THE TRUTH and Histiorical accuarcy then *Read Under the Black Flag * ., I cannot give you specifics without opening the book again., and I will again in my time. However David Cordingly does give referance to its origins and usage in his 2 books UTBF and Terror on the High Seas., Under The Black Flag is geared more for the person interested on the Caribbean. Terror on the High Seas covers the world. These are the two most accurate and respcted books youre gonna find., ALL OF CORDINLYS INFORMATION IS BACKED BY 20 Pages at the end of his books giving the "Refrences" in case youd like to go to the said courthouses .,museums and states and admiralty and check his homework. THERE WAS A CODE ., sometimes agreed to willingly and others were forced to sign the articles of piracy..., the code If you wanna know something about pirates and Piracy I suggest you read these. Otherwise your going on what YOU do or dont believe. These two books are FACT not Fiction books. The Code Existed. It began toward the end of piracy however..,1640's ..,piracy started becoming less an less popular in the new world after that. A serious decline after the 1720's. These books are wonderful keepsakes .,make great Christmas gifts and can be bought in coffee table version (Lots of Pictures,.Lithographs.,art ., paintings).
  11. Myself .., I still say the Cursed Coin .,Course he will have to sleep with one eye open at all times, as his ship mates will be plotting against him for it. Perhaps a good chain to dangle it from , something like this chain to keep you down
  12. More of a BluesPirate meself with hammer-ons.,tapping and pull-offs blended in at the same tyme thru my 81 Les Paul. But O.K. if its metal ya want so be it....., bring lotsa rum. HarborMaster
  13. Aztec Gold sez I .., A cursed coin ., one the glistens in the moonlight. He can take it anywhere and wear it always !!! HarborMaster
  14. We are looking forward to this one., The plot and trailer appeal to us. The Watered down Black Powder is pretty bad tho ! I hope its not as dark a movie as POTC., and I hope the new POTC's will be lit up enough to see the islands without all the dark aura? HarborMaster
  15. Actually I am wondering "Why a Man or husband is NEEDED to pay for these things" you know a ship to sail and then buy a steak. I should think after Billy Jean beat Bobby Riggs and Anita Bryant rallied her "opinion" I want a woman to start paying my way., why wont a woman come into my life ., have us a ship built., sail me acroos the 7 seas., then buy me a steak. Anyway I gotta go break my back some more so I can be the one to have to try to pay for this stuff.
  16. These are really great., think about it., why would a person use 38gm of 14k or silver if they werent...., but the pics are really horrible., old coolpix 600 ..., anyway the one with the gold chain is 14 k the silver chain is with the silver coin., and the coin with the black cord is the romagold alloy., and in person the romagold is difficult to tell from the 14k., Romagold is great., you could file it or hacksaw a gash and the color is THRU. Up close in person with a magnifying glass these have all the detail you could want. Onward to the bad pics and they are sizable so I left the links rather than post coin1 Coin2 Coin3 Coin4 Coin5 Coin6 By the way the MR photos look great......, LOL just like mine. I wonder what its made of and if it can take daily wear?., I will say for the price and the authorization., thats worth getting., nice collectable.
  17. Its been since January since a casting was done but if at least 8 were interested I could get a .999 silver run done again. PM me if interested., Also Romagold alloy is Hypoallergenic., thats another reason jewelers use it to reduce gold content....., I will see if I can photo my gold 14k .,and the romagold and silver side by side and post a photo., the silver is worn daily., so its not going to have its wonderful luster unless it sits in el cheapo walmart jewelry cleaner over nite.
  18. Actually Kendra the Photos are cool., I looked thru your website and see you go to A L O T of events., I thought the pumpkin patch was cool., not many get in their kit so regular., If we all did., we could change modern fashion!., and by the way your kits., and accessories are great. Well done.
  19. I dont mean for Disney to film in China?., I simply meant to say the worlds fauna is somewhat dictated by the Sun Temperature and humidity ., which is subject to its location latitude wise.
  20. Isabella., I hope you didnt take me wrong., I did mean ill intent just laughing at Depps probably/ definitely ., not you. As you know probably is not definitely., they have very differant meanings. At any rate I have to agree with the Royaliste on some of these points. Having been to Taiwan I can tell you it looks VERY much like California ., parts of Japan Washington .,Germany ect look very much the same !! Latitudes my friends latitudes!!! Much of Mexico and the caribbean and yea the Philippines .,VietNam Indo Africa., All share the same latitudes and infact have much the same Fauna. Yes Coconuts and Banana's Avacado's Mangos and the like. Bamboooo !!! Many places in this world share the likeness of foriegn lands on the given Lats., I been to many of them as has Cap'n Glen of the Royaliste. for example All of the Jungle scenes and Islands of Cutthroat Island were filmed in Thailand with ships and barge sets from Square Sail of the UK.
  21. 10 bones is a pretty fair shake no matter what it was made of., thats a good deal. Yea accuracy counts I dont know how the MR looks up close? I havent seen it other than a small web jpg and it was antiqued?., Gold doesnt antique.., thats actually its resounding quality so I cant figure out what the antiquing was all about?. I believe it should be 1 1/2 in diameter and 3/16 in thickness for basic dimensions. I wonder if its a double skully for the chest scene. Or the true HERO version with the Aztec pattern on the back as seen for a micro-second when the child elizabeth has it in her hand on the bow of the Dauntless after stealing it from the child Will Turner. The Aztec Pattern Backed Hero coin is the coin displayed at Disneyland.
