A super big thanks to everyones patience and trust that followed thru on the Coin.,as well as your opinions of the detail. I wish I did...,have another for you .,the last of them are gone ( I kinda miss them but there a bit spendy for small casting numbers.., I should call them and find out how much for a BIG quantity., divide it into lots and see if anyone is interested in that?., then I and others who wanted some could have a thin top layer in our chests for more reasonable. ARRRRRRRRRG ! I think I will make the call tho monday just to find out how high I gotta go to get a break. Depending on the support here on the board., If we can drum up some interterest in enough to do a run again., I would be willing to do it. If anyone is interested I will start compiling a list now...., PM me for Silver or RomaGold..., Depending on how many are on the list if we can go. I will keep this thread informed. Also be aware it takes 4 to 6 weeks to get my order back. The Roma is accurate in color .,and will look great on a strip of leather..., but The Silver is Awesome ! Better in several ways. for example a real heavy duty silver chain is cheap to buy and will go well with it !!! I guess its a choice., Choose both I did !

I concur with Mad Jack as well .., wel said aye. I try to be me., and me wears a piece of his "Pirate garb" daily. I cant wear all of it every where., the 21rst century wouldnt tolerate it. Also the care free foot loose and fancy free attitude wont provide a good living for my future..., but its in my heart and alive and well and focused so deep in my dreams I am creating a place I can live it out. Reality., right down to everyday soon!

Oh there is no mention by me of leather being authentic or not,, I just prefer them and believe they are superior in the sence of the material., I do this for fun. I am not an authentic re-enactor. But I do live in Washington (It rains alot here) and I like to where my hats sometimes daily for no particular reason even without the rest of the clothing for example. I run my own Plumbing service (I have no boss I am it) therefore I might be seen around town in a carhart coat., a pair of dickies., and a leather tricorn., and I feel comfortable in it. I get some strange looks., but its not bad doing a drainfield on a backhoe... Why is it a 150 year old war hat a Civil War Kepi (Again should be wool-Mine however is leather) is accepted by the public and a 300 year old war hat is considered of of place? I dont know but I like it !! That said most wouldnt know whether or not it is authentic except a re-enactor really or a historical buff . I am very happy with it. All of mine are leather. I did buy one from Costumes period in Kent Washington which has a hand block leather crown., stretched thin and left the leather sort of brittle., an awesome hat with a not so awesome crown. I dont recommend blocking a leather crown.

I have one from Excaliber and one more on the way. these are good quality if your are ok with leather. I like it because it lasts and lasts and wont go limp in the rain.

I have one aztec coin left in romagold alloy if you want it let me know., Aztec Romagold also try some beads?. Go to a craft store and have a look around. add jingles to your kit.and put some fun items in your hair ., get creative..,and dont forget a few silver rings.

Try Champion attitude Boots., they handmake Boots of all kinds including gator boots., perhaps they would sell you a pice big enough for your project. Or another vendor. Then you dont have to go thru the immersion experience in a swmp somewhere.,where youd never be seen again,
