  1. Atthefaire is a good place, but its been taking off some of the smaller faires around the midwest. Too bad since I do like them also.

What have they dropped that you know of, M? I'm curious since we run one o them small midwest fairs?

I know a number of them have gone south in recent years....

 I wish I were 21, gents. T'was my 30th bday. Rather harsh day... but .. hopefully in due time, I be making that up. Just means that we celebrate heartily all year long!

An' as to the rum... ahhh, had a fine feast Saturday night at Red Lobster... with a Bahama Mama.. heavy on the rum, mind you!

An' Morgan... ::shakes a sword at ya:: Ya come back next year... we'll celebrate in grand pyratical style... gaow-roon-teed!

Merry gets all the rum her deathly blackheart desires. From my private stock! :) Now... mind ya'll... I've been devilish enough to keep Barbossa from this... & a few of these bottles here be from Barbossa's private stock! ::taps side of nose:: Hehehe... aye, he'd skin me alive if he knew I was back in his rum & wine again. ::looks at Jack; finger to lips:: Shhhhh.... I'll share with the crew of the Pearl as well as those in Tortugas (your forum). An' not to worry... I'll have it stocked again before he knows it be gone. B)

  4. Had some good communication from John Glass, who coordinates the renactors at Hampton. I'd written him regarding the possiblility of bringing down a sort-of composite crew as we'd talked about with the Morehead festival before it was cancelled. He wrote back:

    Aye lad!

Glad to have you . For reenactors with costumes accurate to early 18th Century English pirates, we provide dorm rooms at Hampton U. , a couple of free meals, and some participation in the events. Others ( renfare, fantasy, captains Hook and Morgan) are welcome , and will have a good time, but will watch most events.

Ball tickets ( fri night ) are $ 25 for all of us.

Please let me know how many are interested and I'll reserve the rooms- we have the space

    (endquote)

Okay, so refresh me momory: Who be goin?

    Z :)

  5. I think ye be right, Huntin' hawk. tha' seems 'bout right. I'm on many boards for many different things rangin' from Star Wars to costuming, dogsledding to anime,

Ye mean t' say this pub ain't bout dogsleddin? Boy, am I lost!

Yes, and please stop the cross posts to alt.spankme.com, willya.

    gets confusin....

  6. Aye, I agree with the both of you. Had this discussion at the Escondido Faire with the pirates of the Black Sail guild. They all also agreed that Barbossa was by far the better pirate over Jack. Don't get me wrong, Jack is a very cool character, funny and yes, even cute, but Barbossa just is the better pirate, hands down all the way! I also find him much more sexier! He has a charm all his own....mmmmm......

Arr! Hope fer th more mature pyrate :)
