  1. I wondered what had happened to you. Welcome back! I also like what I see on your website.
  2. $90 bucks a yard!!!! :o $50 bucks a yard!!!! Good thing I'm not rich.
  3. So ye join the ranks of us older more seasoned pirates. Ah the more the merrier I say! So drink up me hearty, yo ho!
  4. There is no pirate group and never has been at Southern Faire. THERE USE to be a group called the SEA DOGS, but they were not pirates. S. Faire frowns greatly on pirates, yet they sell pirate type t-shirts in their gift stores there. Go figure.... Same goes for the Ojai events where Queen Elizabeth is present during the Pirate Faire, yet we all know she wasn't even alive during the Golden Age of Piracy. It's a total joke.

  6. BadMcCrack, I'd like to add that several of us know Gary personally and have been on the Royalist (myself included). I understand your wariness, but also understand ours. Thanks, Rumba Rue
  7. Ye'll have a hard time findin' me, as the phone ain't in my name.
  8. I've gotten products from the Pyramid Collection and have had no problems. However, I did purchase a ring, that the middle stone fell out of and became lost in my carpet...gone to the vacuum cleaner.... I've got a wonderful purple Dragon dress they use to offer, it's perfect for sci-fi conventions. They certainly have some interesting things.
  9. and in those famous words from Star Wars about the middle person...aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?
  10. Jim you and your wife are life-savers. My partner, Boats works for the County of San Diego in Foster Care, so he is exposed to the kind of things you have gone through. He doesn't talk about it here at home hardly, but I know it can really affect him sometimes. You have a chance now to be the best parents, teachers, friends, those kids could ever have. You will be rewarded, as good comes back to you for your wonderful efforts. Goddess Bless you!
  11. Times have certainly changed.... In my younger years, having to wear a back brace from 6th grade to 9th grade (in hopes of preventing my scoliosis from getting worse), I was ridiculed, made fun of and even one teacher preyed horribly on my disability (I was transferred out of her class and she was rep-remanded). I came home from school everyday and cried. I only had one girlfriend who cared enough to be my friend. It was a very horrible time in my life and it did a nasty number on my brain for years afterwards. Nowadays, the majority of people no longer act the way they did when I was growing up. Most are very compassionate and caring....times have certainly changed....
  12. Perhaps it's no secret as I have found it! I just happen to get the catalog it's in. Go to Pyramid Collection Look under apparel for the Legacy coat.
  13. Men in skirts....any blue ribbons? Welcome to the Pub!
  14. Did someone make that for you or did you buy it 'off the rack'?
  15. I almost believed it until I saw the last close up picture. It's fake.
  16. Well after some very serious thinking, we traded in my Toyota truck yesterday for a brand new Toyota Sienna Minivan, dark grey. It really came down to A. did we need the truck for the purpose for which I had originally purchased it for (pulling a trailer), the answer was no. B. it was extremely difficult to load my scooter in and out of the bed, having to use heavy 10ft. pieces of wood as a ramp to do so, made it impossible for me to do it on my own, therefore restricting where I could go on my own. So those two things which were major were the reasons for getting rid of the truck. When I had my Dodge Caravan, I absolutely loved it and I really did miss having a minivan in which that could hold a load and be covered from the elements of weather and being able to use it to sleep in when a tent couldn't be used. I am quite happy with the new purchase and it's certainly a whole lot better on gas, (19 city driving and 26 for highway) and it has a 22 gallon gas tank. Yup, it's a whole lot lower to the ground, as I have already discovered, scraping the low front end underneath and the side rails on the driveways in and out of our apartment complex. But it's extremely comfortable, lots of leg room, seats in the very back can fold down out of the way, and the middle seats can be folded forward or even removed easily for more room. The engine is so quite, it's hard for me to tell if it's even on, and wow can it make really tight turns! So the next time some of you see me whether it be at a Renaissance Faire/pirate event, or just visiting, you'll get to see my new van.
